This works until you close the app then once you reopen youtube it will once again have the window saying the app is not supported on this version of android

They are doing this not just because RUclips is out of date, but because your Android OS is out of date. I'm still running version 7. It's up to version 13 now. Why do they want you to update your OS? Because of the extra "features". Remember the covid tracker? They also added the Emergency SOS feature where "first responders" can access your phone/tablet bypassing your access code. I'm not updating my OS. Who knows what else they put in it. Just happened on my moms redmi note 4. Shows no update available for youtube after 2022.
I installed android 13 on it and issue resolved.

I don't understand it, either. My tablet is running Android 7 and Google says RUclips is compatible with version 6 and above.
