The puffer is a green spotted puffer. From. What I know of them, they start freshwater and work into brackish water. My local shop sell them freshwater with the warning it needs to be brackish within 6 month to a year . Cool find, wish I could find cool fish like that in Canada

You should add a couple ramshorn and/or bladder snails to the new puffer tank. They need something with a hard shell to wear their teeth down on.
