I would consider myself a gyaru, but I'm starting to get into it. I may add elements of it (like the makeup and maybe some of the fashion for hime or agejo gyaru) into my aesthetic, unless it would be considered rude. If so, I'll just enjoy it from a far then. Also, btw my aesthetic is like fairycore adjacent.

I have no idea if we're thinking of the same thing but I'm a trans man and I've developed this gyaru alter ego. It's like when I become her I just really immerse myself in her and everytime Im outside of gal I feel so empty and souless because I can't ALWAYS be in gyaru. It's genuinely started to become a problem because people keep asking me if I CHANGED MY PRONOUNS.
@@Willinillyt I sort of get what you mean, I am AFAB and I changed my pronouns to he/they but I am agender and not a trans man. But the weird thing is, I am so much MORE feminine than I ever was, so it’s hard for others to understand why I identify the way I do if my gender expression is the opposite of being a “he.” I can’t rlly explain it myself, but being feminine is so much more fun to me, rather than dressing masculine/gender-neutral (tho I do so from time to time), even tho I no longer identify as a girl (even if I feel slightly embarrassed wearing a full-on gyaru/hyperfeminine outfit in public). But I’m glad you found a way to express yourself that you enjoy, and traditional/other ppl’s gender ideas shouldn’t hold you back! It took me a while to reconcile it myself🤧
@@kawaiiskeleton297 "The masculine urge to be sparkly and cute" lol. You should totally check out the male Gyaru counterpart, Gyaruos! Clothes and colors don't have a gender, I rock the pink and leopard as a man just fine and you all should too :)
@@dontworryaboutitdotcom LMAO fr, sparkly n cute is not just for girls, I try to make myself feel better abt my seemingly conflicting (lack of a) gender and gender expression by telling myself I’m too cute to be a girl (as joke but still). I have looked into Gyaruo before and I have yet to try it but once I get my hair cut I think I will do so :D

There isn't exactly a "gyaru" music style. The closest thing you could get to it is eurobeat and techno music but those two aren't directly tied to gal

gyaru music doesn't exist, its a looks based subculture, but there are songs some gyarus adopted as "gyaru music"
