Bulgaria. Dining out at Aura, June heats up in Sunny Beach!

- Firstly a quick look at the summer beaches of Sunny Beach, Bulgaria. We then try Aura again after first filming it nearly 2 years ago in its very first season. The quality of the food is still as good but we found a better menu available. Time has been spent developing their own style of cuisine. The salads are to die for, Andrew went for a local pork dish. Susan opted for traditional fish and chips, being British and really enjoyed them after her delicious fresh salad.
Living here we find resort food can seem bland sometimes but this was a refreshing menu with great variety and some really nice touches like the use of fresh flowers on the tables and clipped to glasses adding to an even more classier experience. Everything is quality in here, the furniture, crockery and fittings.
We can certainly recommend this restaurant if your here on holiday in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria on the black Sea coast.
We were offered the courtesy meal after helping with promotional work in the adjoining hotel for the new Turkish Spa and Gymnasium but we did eat here last season a few times and always enjoyed the food.

We've just got home. Sunny Beach was an amazing resort, we would love to come back. My favourite restaurant was Stella Di Mare
That's an upmarket restaurant but obviously affordable here. Be on countdown till your return.

@@user-yu2fd1zr4h We did not have a bad meal last season, we had a so so this year but I did not publish it as its unfair as happens rarely for us. I wont make a video on one bar and problem drinks like others do. We bin the video and move on.
Keep up the entertaining vlogs. Last weekend was unbearably hot hot hot. Next time in sunny beach, we will stay closer to the center as Dreams and Secrets are way to far to walk.
Hey, how long did the walk take from Dreams and Secrets to the center?
It's too hot now to do non stop. I have to rest in the shade with a cool drink. Now take train it's easier
@@alexikonen3418its a good 40 minutes. There is a mini train operating now at 6 LV per person but this is not a regular service just yet.

Love the content! If someone was to ask you why pick sunny beach over Spain for a family holiday what would the reason be?
They are totally different. Parents were living in Spain 16 years its like going away but staying at home in the resorts. Its not as smart here, but food is fantastic, very natural and real, there is lots to do out the resort like 4x4, quad biking but its forest and mountains, deserted within a few miles and no people. The air is extremely healthy, ozone from the forests and the sea as well and its green apart from mid summer. Because of property costs actual locals live in the resort itself so it has character of real life where in Spain most were priced out years ago left with hotels and apartments only. If your a Benidorm fan don't come , you probably wont like it, we did and live here.

Depends on what part of the beach,but mostly 9 or 10 leva for para as ol or lounger

We like Hawaii , don't have one often. Lots rate l and b hotel but I prefer to sit on the beach
Any small apartments around there for 20,000 Euros? It doesn't have to be that close to the beach.
The cheapest are out at Tankovo, Sunny day 6 about 5 miles from the resort. Two years ago that was the value of ours now would be around 37 000 or higher being centrally located in the resort itself. The demand has been huge this last year.

Not in Sunny Beach, aquaparks, beach activities. there is an amusement park with some scary rides. The nearest amusement arcade is in Burgas at the Galleria Mall. They do quad biking tours, 4x4 adventures. look at A different Safari, on their trips you do lots of different things in a day.

Why would anyone wanna go to sunny beach over the UNESCO heritage town of Nessabar. It's cheaper. The food is better. Everything is better.
Why the hell does anyone wanna go to another country just to mix with the same people and eat the same fried crap as you do at home.
Have you actually been here, Brits are a minority, it's hard to find a breakfast or roast Sunday lunch. Yes new Nessebar is nice but not the fun and entertainment for a week's holiday many love especially with children, quiet restaurants don't really work. Need a place like I am now all on the bouncy castle. Sitting listening to a great live band now in sunny beach but just been with great Dutch people somewhere else.
@@sunnybeachlife5860 I was there today for about 30 minutes. Fair enough I ain't got kids but when I was my mum took me to luxor and Cairo, Northern Greece, Athens, Cappadocia.
I loved the history as much as anything else and it gave me a lifelong fascination with ancient cultures and sites around the world.
I struggle to believe there's not many Brits there considering ive been to Plovdiv and varna and not heard any English accents the whole time.
There's two flights a week out of just Manchester to Burgas. Sunny beach is the only place in Bulgaria the British firms have package holidays to as far as I know.
Personally would not go to Egypt nowadays. I would never comment deriding other peoples choices it's up to them . You enjoyed travel relish that let others have their fun and enjoyment.
@sunnybeachlife5860 I merely offered an alternative to a big garish resort when there Is a beautiful ancient town a few miles down the road with much better prices. Or varna up the road a bit further with its amazing roman ruins.
You would miss out on the pyramids and the amzing open air musem of luxor because there could be a slight risk? There is a risk in crossing the road. But each to their own. It costs a small fortune to go to luxor in the summer thats not for no reason.
Everything Costs more in sunny beach. The fake clothes that they are all selling in the shops are 4 times the price you would pay in Istanbul.
The prices for food and drink I saw today were on par with the uk. If you wanna get ripped off then that's up to you.
With all due respect I just offered my opinion considering I've travelled in the balkans extensively. Maybe some other people might like to get out and see the real Bulgaria rather than just a beach and a burger King.
