Nooo Charlamagne keeps getting Mike's meaning of "gatekeeper" wrong. Mike was saying a gatekeeper is a person that can say "Nay" to your name if it's brought up, and executives will listen. It's not a person that puts you on, but it's instead a person that can keep you down. So yes, you can make a name for yourself through social media, but there can be a gatekeeper that says you're "difficult to work with" or something like that and you won't be hired.
