- Hey guys! A lot of people have asked what gear I used to film my videos, so I wanted to make a short one to show the different cameras. This is the collection after 2 years of shooting. I started with just a borrowed Sony A7, which I still use today.
If you're thinking of starting a channel, I think the iPhone is more than good enough to start a channel. I've only expanded to this collection after borrowing/being given some, and the desire to always push to make better videos.
If you're interested in the Skydio, you can use the code GHOSTTOWN50 to get $50 off. You can see their collection here: shop.skydio.co...
Note: The Skydio was a gift from the company and the Sony is borrowed from a friend.
All it takes is the “HELLO THERE!!!” To make me smile. You’re my favorite channel on this entire website and it’s always a great addition to my day
I like how nobody suspects Brent to be wearing a Wu Tang Bunnyhug. So awesome, now we know what Brent listens to while riding around or hanging around cerro Gordo!
Nice Wu-Tang Clan hoodie Brent💪🥴👍
Love your channel and your insight with wisdom. You have this ability to capture the attention of your audience . Keep it up . Always enjoy your videos!! 😃
Thank you! Will do!
Thanks for the tutorial. Wow, big investment on gear. I was there to see Cerro Gordo 2/26. Dropped in unannounced, met Brent. Brent was cordial, took time with me and others for a brief conversation. Recommend the trip to anyone (as long as you and/or your car is up to the trek, My FWD buick did fine). Was nice meeting you Brent.
Nice to meet you as well. Thanks for coming up! Door is always open for the public to come and check it all out (as long as their car can make it like you said!)
Shoot, even your little videos are great. Thanks so much for taking the time to share with us. You have no idea how much even a short video can help someone who is having a rough time. I love seeing Cerro Gordo! I love the drones too. Always makes things better.
I check both channels, and nothing posted. Literally right when I clicked off and go through other channels on the home page for about 30 seconds, that's when it tells me you posted this 35 seconds earlier. Good timing.
I purchased the Skydio drone package for our channel. I made sure to let them know I was making the purchase per your endorsement of being a great self flying drone. I am still learning all the abilities the drone has and have been happy with it. Thanks Brent!
drones have really changed the game for youtube content creators. so cool to see the shots you get. absolutely stunning work!
Want to learn FPV? The DJI FPV drone can get some really dynamic shots and comes with the goggles thet can be used with even higher performance FPV cinema drones. Also, it's an absolute blast to experience the freedom of flight in first-person-view!
That Wu-Tang hoodie is life
Love the Wutang hoodie!
Thanks for the video Brent!
Thanks for watching!
Nice Wu Tang hoodie my man.
Thanks Brent for the background information on the filming. I wish you all the best.
Thank you for all your content.

I am praying my truck with the load will make it too!!! I will be pulling in April 1st! So excited cannot wait to meet in person and per Scotty I am bringing lots of goodies!!! See ya soon!
I just love those drone shots.
loving the wu tang clan hoodie!
Always great seeing you
Thanks, Brent. Great presentation of your gear. Only downside is now my husband wants it all. 😉 Keep warm and safe.
Omg I'm so happy there is another channel
Drones, Dirt Bikes, Hiking, Exploring Mines and Preservation of History. This channel is as good as it gets. Thumb up, shared. So glad I subscribed long ago. I'm always fascinated and entertained. I hope I get to meet you one day.
Great job! Waiting for your next video is like when I was a kid waiting for Disney's Wonderful World of Color to come on every Sunday night!!!!!!!
Thanks for sharing all your videos and what you use to make them. It’s not easy to make it look effortless.
Thank you, Brent! I had been wondering about your various camera gear, and I really enjoyed this video.
Glad you enjoyed it!
love this video!! suggestion for a follow-up: your editing process!
Animals. We want to see more of the fluffy beings. Please.
Thanks Brett, that is amazing! Your little town is amazing! I am hoping when I come to San Diego in the fall, I might be able to catch a tour of it.
Hi Brent, I have been with you since the beginning. I enjoy history and love mining and stories. You are a wonderful story teller. You are great with words and I can write music 🎶. Let’s get together. Nice job my friend ‼️
Thanks for this. Love knowing the gear that people use.
Just got my Skydio 2+ a couple weeks ago...really looking forward to getting it up in the air on my ATV adventures this year! The autonomy is awesome!! Thanks for sharing your gear!!
Heck yeah
Hi Brent, have you thought about putting Amazon affiliate links in your description box for your drones and camera gear? Thanks for sharing. 🙂❤️👍
A lot of thought and process goes into your content and it shows. 😎 You seem relaxed and look really healthy too. 🌟
Some very good info
We all are waiting for the next mine exploration video! Or an update on the main channel. ❤️
Thanks for the all the awesome videos
Thank you for sharing
Cool, Was Wondering About The Automous Shots The Other Day Thanks Man.
Great stuff! Thanks for the information. Much appreciated!
Cheers!
Awesome. I like how you add so much more tech to a small GoPro lol. Works well!
I did not take you for the wu tang type by your looks. Then I looked in the mirror and realized i dont look like the type either! I'm jealous of the beauty, freedom, and peace and quiet you experience up there. Great alone time. I'd have to have a dog though.
Very informative brent
Very interesting Brent.
I have been racking my brain for better mine communications and I realized that in ww2 the field phones that were used could communicate up to 10 miles over wire so you could run wire a thousand feet down and at each of the levels install a phone for emergency communications and install them in nema style moisture proof boxes. Some were hand crank and others were battery powered. Mounting one up by the lift operator and one by the lift entrance.
Thanks for shareing this info😊
YesSiRr!! SHORT & SWEET AYY!! THANKZ MATE!!
Miss ya Brent🙏...
Need more content like these! Show stuff like store/water runs, fan mail openings and stuff like that!
Love you're two Chanel Brent ... Thank you to share this great video 🙏🙏🙏
That was great , Thank you! I too have a DJI Air2S
Interesting to see the gear you use to show us Cerro Gordo, thanks bud
Nice hoodie!
Wow! Lots of tech behind the scenes. Love your content and I can't wait for the 2 year update next week. ❤️
That drone is pretty cool.
Loving every bit you give us thanks for sharing 💞🤗
Technology is pretty amazing! Thank you for showing us⚡️⚡️
Hello there! 👋
this is very helpful. I want to start making better videos and a drone will definitely help out with a few other things. thanks a lot for this and I love watching ghost town living.
I love how drones have came into the market and have changed up the game, I can't imagine some of the shots that happen today without them lol
Great video! Two super random questions/comments. It would be cool if you had a 24/7 live camera in your town. Do you use Starlink Internet service or have you thought about it?
Brent has answered the starlink question in his youtube premiere live chat before and from what i remember, i think he said that he's applied for it or tried to get it but that it just isnt available for his area yet
I like that idea! Maybe have it above the town so people can always see the different things happening around here. I'd just have to figure out power source. I JUST got Starlink recently. It works really well.
@@ghosttown2 Congratulations on Starlink! I currently run two 24/7 live cameras in 2 states. Here’s a link to the RUclips channels if you’re interested in what I do. Maybe we can collaborate on something.
Prescott Valley Weather Cam ruclips.net/channel/UCgvRwqHmICRMvESDziRqMVQ
Chula Vista Weather Cam ruclips.net/channel/UCtDL1XXm4kS29fBniGX-rsA
make up one for halloween, too.
freak people out all night. LOL
that's cool
@@ghosttown2 they have battery powered wifi ready security cameras. The batteries last a year or more. Set one up where its sees part of the town and wildlife. Like the eagle cameras that let you see nesting eagles live.
First like woot woot! I anticipate your videos! Wish I lived closer keep up the good work
love how dusty the sony is... a workhorse, good for you
let's get this bloke to 100k already?!
Never would have guessed the mics. well done!
Very interesting! Thanks, Brent 😊
Ay promote this channel more I have watched every video on the main channel and somehow missed this exsisted.
Cool arsenal.
If you need another shooter I'd love to work with ya. It's one of my favorite shows!
I'm based in LA but film a lot in Death Valley and the surrounding areas.
I love your videos in your outlook on a life have you ever felt any earthquakes out there
Thanks Brent! I hope the winter is treating you well. I can't wait to come and visit your glorious little town. How much land did you get with the town purchase?
might also be cool to see how you charge all these and get POWER to the town, also how you will be getting Power to the new Hotel!
Thanks, Brent! When we move to the Stikine region, hopefully within the next couple of months, I want to get set up with some better equipment. I expect to launch a RUclips channel eventually, as well, and you've given me some great ideas. It is another region steeped in gold-rush and more modern mining history, and before that and concurrently, First Nations history.
Brent Underwood, I was so worried about you I had to check on comments on your other channel to see if someone posted an update on you. So glad I did and so relieved to see you're ok and not crushed in one of your mines or something. Is this going to be your only channel from now on?
Cool Cool!
wu tang clan is nothing to mess with :)
No wonder we wuv yoooo! We are Sony alpha (6000) peeps too!😆💕 that go pro mic & light is a great idea! 🐾
O.D.B. says Wu-Tang is for Cerro Gordo
Have you considered discussing features on the west side of the lake. There are charcoal kilns still there where charcoal was made and shipped across the lake for smelting the ore. Then the processed ore was sent back on the return trip.
The wood used for the charcoal came from the Sierras via a water flume originating near horseshoe meadow and ends near the valley. The large zig-zag paved road that you can see from the highway takes you up to horseshoe meadows to a large parking lot and trail head into the sierras to join the pacific crest trail that goes from Mexico to Canada.
My understanding is that there was a stage coach run that picked up the ore and sent it down to Mojave for train shipment to LA.
Along the route to Mojave is the outskirts of Inyokern and Ridgecrest with a large outcropping of rocks called Robber’s Roost where stage coach robbers would hide when robbing the stage coach.
There is also the story/history of the gravity flow aqueduct that Carrie’s the water from the owen’s river south of bishop through open channels and large siphon tubes going up and down over the foothills all the way to LA.
Just a lot more of history in the high desert to consider …
Hey Brent! You should add some amazon affiliate links to this! Generate some income from people that may already want to buy the same gear! Keep rocking and living the best life we all want!
Hello THERE!!! :D
Cool to see. Thank you!
Good thing that you have a second channel because I was worried that You got lost somewhere in the mine :P
Just in case you didn't know the go pro media mod has a microphone on the back of it, but you have to switch over to it in the camera menu.
I would like to make a comment about the shooting of your shows I'm dying to watch more more more I'm addicted to this show I need more Brent😁😁😁
Very interesting keep up the great work
maybe you have shown it before but i would be interested in seeing the lights you guys bring when exploring the mines
The intro music reminds me of peaky blinders
Wu-Tang Forever! 👐
I’ve never seen a Sony A7 so dirty before 😂
Great video! Thanks for taking the time. My next question would be: What software do you use for editing?
Now that I watched it, have you thought of doing live shows and speeches in the church / movie theater (where you could film it and sell copies of it on DVD), or have you thought of using another building at Cerro Gordo as if a studio, like a production company would use, where people could possibly rent the space for a day or two to do their own videos?
Hello there Bren im craving more Ghost Town Living footage i need to see Cerro Gordo i feel its an addiction inside me
I miss the weekly GTL videos ;(
I had to stop before you got done with your first sentence to complement you on a fine Wutang hoodie!
😎😎😎
Hiya Brent
It's a bit late but you left your gopro light on.
Can you make a climbing gear video ? I'm guessing the gear changes more often, but that's what interests me cheers from germany
