Nnoitora is a character that I think can only really be appreciated on rewatches of the show. He's a horrible, sexist monster, but he's a monster fueled by a crippling inferiority complex born from people constantly pitying him. An argument can even be made that Nel herself is partially responsible for shaping Nnoitora into the monster he is since she also talked down to him, belittled him, and told him he was weak. Obviously this doesn't excuse his terrible actions or the fact that he was an asshole from the start, but he's a much more complex character than people give him credit for. He's not just an Arrancar version of Kenpachi, he's much more nuanced than that given how little screen time he actually has. He's a bitter, wounded person that covers up his insecurities with a vile exterior. The short flashbacks we get really show us how crippling his inferiority complex is and how his despair has driven him to long for death in battle.
And no one gives him his credit. His is the only Espada ever to go up in rank. Full stop. Aizen kept adding more and more arrancar to his ranks, your rank stayed the same if you were lucky. Yet, despite this, Nnoitora went up 3 ranks. It shows that he put more effort in than anyone else.
Nnoitora already had little dick syndrome before Nel told him he was weak. How is being honest with someone a fault? At no point did Nnoitora reflect on his actions and be honest with himself, until Kenny went two handed.
@@Javetts Honestly all of the above and more is why he is my favourite bleach character and despite how people think or will say how "Kenpachi's character is" Nnoitra is very strong and could have actually killed him here. Instances include Nnoitra putting his own two hands on Scythes for a pair of 3 of even just 2 or just continually slashing Kenpachi instead of falling into the overthinking despair he literally had while fighting him over the course of the fight. Alas the plot and with how the story is written that wouldn't have been feasible as he is a character written to eventually die unfortunately given the circumstances. Yammy being 0 is the funniest shit (plot wasting point/time gainer) especially with how he as a character explains that he is stronger than 4,5,6 which is absolutely cap. Yammy is just absolute garbage. Nnoitra doesn't have "special powers" like the other members minus the regeneration he has, he is just a force brute wall with battle hardened skin being an incredible defense. He is as normal as basic as they come but oddly enough one of the strongest.
Also, fun fact: In the manga Szayel literally crawls out of Nemu's mouth instead of becoming gas like in the anime. She inflates like she's pregnant and then he crawls out of her mouth like the Ring girl.
52:23 stark got to be fastest espada, number 7 or whoever byakuya fought said he was 1st fastest but im sure stark faster, atleast long distance fast, travelled like a whole city in 1 step according to some bleach youtube channel that studies bleach, my fav espada next to grimmjow but some people say they dont like him so ill see what u think of him in future episodes

My man, there is something I need you to really pay attention further. Because what Mayuri is describing to Szayelapporo is the theme for future arcs. The whole “perfection” theme doesn’t just go to inventions, but broader…like a society, or even the world itself. I hope it didn’t come off as me complaining or being rude, I just want you to have full experience, without needing to come back ;) Because contrary to popular opinion, you truly get bleach only on second run.
Also, you are one of the best Bleach reactors I've seen, you actually pay attention to the characters and the writing and even pick un small details that I didn't pick until my 2nd or 3rd watchthrough. Keep up the great work!!

He wanted to seal at the very least, Kenpatchi in there so his invasion would go smoother. He also got three other of the strongest captains in the process.

I been waiting for Nnoitra to release to say this lol, but you calling him a camper is so fitting bc in his release he has le look of a praying mantis which mostly hunt by stalking and ambushing their prey. Also more things to notice his weapon is in le shape of an 8 which is his previous rank in le espada.
In the manga Szayelaporro used that tentacle which had a mouth in it to implant himself inside Nemu and she looked like a very shriveled raisin compared in the manga but it wasnt shown in the anime due to censorship. As long as he can "impregnate" someone he cant die. I swear Bleach be a lowkey seinen cuz of the brutality it had in the manga i highly recommend you check out the manga of the episodes that you already saw and see all the beautiful panels.

One of my favorite things about Kenpachi is that he doesn't really hype himself up, other people hype him up and he just lives up to it by existing lmao. Mayuri has backup plans for his backup plans backup plan. Mayuri's speech about perfection is one of my favorites in any series. Porro gets one of the worst deaths imaginable and it is so satisfying after the hell he put us through. Oh and um.. his hole is on his junk, not sure the exact details, but yup, that's where it is apparently. A lot of people like to compare Nnoitra and Kanpachi based off of their few similarities, but they basically complete opposites. When someone palms your attack, you know you messed up. Nnoitra is a little over 7ft tall and Kenpachi is 6ft 7.5in. Most captains use Shikai out the gate, some even use Bankai immediately, Kenpachi doesn't even use a second hand until he starts taking actual damage, it's so ridiculous and I love it. Weirdly enough Nel was the closest thing Nnoitra had to a friend. I legit thought Kenpachi wanted to fight Ichigo at the end there on my first watch. Ulquiorra has one of the cleanest returns "Where's Grimmjow?" Probably fighting for his life on the ground somewhere still
When Nnoitora was swining his blade around to create a tornado, it did remind me of when hollow ichigo was swinging around zangetsu that time. basically i kinda missed or wished it was an actual way for ichigo to use his zanpakuto especially as it has the wraps and it's basically a huge kitchen knife

Yeah, in a straight fight, Nel crushes Nnoitra. Just a heads up, there is an arc starting on episode 206 called "Turn Back the Pendulum" that is sometimes labeled as filler because it takes place out of order (the manga was too close to the anime at the time). It is 100% cannon and is a flashback to the history of Urahara, the Vizards, and Aizen--do NOT skip it.
