    Using molds only presents one problem for me. Evenly cutting the excess and trimming nicely. Practice, right?

    I would love if you could add a cigar wet mold. In a nice big gauge like 52+ if possible.

    I'm a total noob, but would love to see how you cut them after to get such an even line like in the product pictures. I really struggle with that part. I use a ruler, but the only part you can cut away is already curved outward.

      Check out Corter Leather's RUclips channel. About a year ago they did an expansive step by step with Buckleguy's molds. ruclips.net/video/v4tH2HAYu1w/видео.html

    CONVENIENT HOW YOU DON'T SHOW THE FINISHED PRODUCT!!!...... To me there were a sh1tload of wrinkles trapped there. You've deceived people into thinking it's that easy. It isn't and you know it. Normally the leather need s v shapes cut to help stretch it along with staples to prevent wrinkles. How about being honest.

    How do I avoid wrinkles? I can see in your demonstration wrinkles forming along the sides of your mold too. When I pull the wet molds a part I find wavy wrinkles have dried and it looks really bad.

    OLD Leather Smith here, very good. Suggestion, put a few drops of liquid dish soap in the water the leather would absorb faster and the mold would be easier 2 mold. GOD'S BLESSINGS ✝️⚾🙃

    Suggestion. Drilling holes in the base mold with a dowel rod glued in and holes in the others to stack would hold everything tight.

    What weight leathers work with your molds?

    • @Buckleguycom
      @Buckleguycom  Год назад +2

      It depends on the mold. Right now, we have some that can take up to 6.5oz and some that can take up to 12oz. Somewhere in the 6oz-10oz range is ideal for a single layer.

    Should the leather be heated to make it harder when it's dry or, will it maintain it's new shape just drying naturally?

    • @Buckleguycom
      @Buckleguycom  11 месяцев назад

      Hi there, the leather will maintain its shape after drying naturally. Using a stiffer leather helps ensure this as well.
