Optimize your data protection costs with Azure Backup

This video showcases how Azure Backup customers can optimize and save costs. Based on usage projections leverage Reserved Capacity Pricing which lowers costs compared to pay-as-you-go rates. To automatically move Long Term Retention (LTR) backup data to Vault-Archive tier, enable Smart Tiering. Choose to backup only selected disks, utilize different storage for dev/test environments, and clean up inactive or deleted data sources. Use the right policy for workloads too-Azure Backup automatically stiches together the full, differential/incremental and log backups to provide data for a specific point in time. For database backups, opt to have weekly full backups instead of daily full backups to reduce backup costs significantly.
