  • The Clark Expedition travels to The Maryland Eastern Shore in September 2023. Kim and I take our travel trailer to Elk Neck State Park to set up camp, and we visit the sites and attractions of the Upper Chesapeake Bay.
There is much to see on the Maryland Eastern Shore! We visit the town of North East, MD where we take in the shops, restaurants, and marina near by. Our son visits with us, and we take a hike to the Turkey Point Lighthouse. We spend another day in St Michaels, MD; and we travel further out into the Chesapeake to Tilghman's Island. Later in our travels, we visit Chestertown, MD where we see the Schooner Sultana. The waterfront town of Rock Hall is our destination after Chestertown. All along the way, we experience the unique culture and beauty we came to find in the Upper Chesapeake Bay.
Chesapeake City is our last day of adventure in the Upper Chesapeake. We discover the history of the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal, and we tour the museum. We spend the remainder of the day on the Chesapeake City waterfront, and we visit the shops in town.
We had a great trip, and we invite you to come along with us.

Thanks! When Dan and I hiked up to the lighthouse, the eagles were everywhere. I tried to get some great pictures, but I just could not get them in focus.
