Jimin and Jin, the other half of the Vocal Line, were hired as Dancer and Visual. The fact they had such exquisite high voices was a miracle for Big Hit. Jimin wasn't even formally Trained along with Jungkook and Taehyung, but sat in and self-taught. Just in the last year he took formal lessons.
@4:53 Jiminie has the vocal styling of a Reed Instrument, so Airy and Intricate. And yes, 1000% Fae. I also call him a Kumiho, the Korean 9 Tailed Fox 💜

Another situation where you can see an overview is their FESTA ROOM LIVE 2021, they sing a medley of about 10 songs and it is fire 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
One of my favorite songs of the vocal line is THE house of CARDS!!! Gotta watch the live performance!! Watching their emotions!!!

JIMIN has the most angelic voice, they are beautiful 💕🐥😍
So I first met and heard BTS and dynamite in 2020!! I couldn’t tell who was who.. so my next step into the rabbit hole( didn’t want to admit it) was tiny desk.. I got to know the guys faces and voices. I was hooked….. still took me a minute to get the faces names and voices matched! Then before I knew it.. I didn’t need subtitles and I could tell who was singing or rapping without seeing them👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

They all can be a great soloist but I love that they know they are best as a group and performances like this prove that fact at least to me as an Army. I also enjoy their solo journey, it allows us to see their individual colours but still appreciate them as a group. I can't wait to see them together again in 2025.

JK is the main vocalist, Jimin is the lead vocalist.

Reverse that.
When it comes to pop, "lead" vocalist = has more parts.
"Main" usually means a unique voice and/or the one who harmonizes the most with others.
JK is lead (he has the most parts, is often center stage for many choreos).
Jimin is main (definitely unique voice, harmonizes often with JK, Tae, Jin...and even Yoongi and Hobi on occasion...can't remember if he ever has with RM, but I'm sure he has).
In rock, lead and main are often interchanged as the meaning is the same - one who has the most parts...BUT...that also includes the "spokesman"/"spokeswoman" of the group (as RM does the majority of the talking, in K-Pop, of course, he's the leader...but if they were an American rock band, he'd be the lead vocalist).
Please don’t compare sales statistics and enjoy all of them. Who sales the most often depends on recent releases. JK and V passed up Jimin. With RMs new release he may pass up everyone. Everyone has bias but I think it’s important to support all 7.

This video from six days ago the lady Jungkook is not the lead vocalist. Positions in groups in Korea are not like the positions in the western world all explain. Positions are vocalist or rapper main lead sub.
Jungkook main vocalist previously sub wrapper lead dancer songwriter composer producer. RM leader main rapper main songwriter composer producer. Suga lead rapper main producer songwriter composer. J hope dance leader main dancer rapper sub vocalist songwriter composer producer. Jimin main dancer lead vocalist song writer composer producer. Jin vocalist visual songwriter composer producers V vocals visual dancer songwriter composer producer.

@@BTSSHXTZYes, it tends to be confusing for westerners because for us a protagonist in a movie/tv show is commonly called a “lead” or “lead role” yet when talking about a written story it’s usually called ”main character”. Meanwhile in K-pop, “Main” is like the “captain” of that particular position/skill (rapper, vocalist, dancer, songwriter, etc.) and “lead” is like the second-in-command.

I'm going to explain some things about Kpop so that people don't confuse you about the vocal quality of the members.
Each group has its own style and there is the member whose timbre and style adapts best and there is also a stable vocal quality, it does not mean that the others are worse.
Jk is the main vocalist: he has taken singing lessons before, but what matters is the subgroup that his timbre fits into that of Tenor Lirico Leggero. This voice has the advantage of being able to make changes in faster passages and JK's voice is very characteristic of pop and a voice that we call commercial. Jk's voice is the one that best harmonizes with the other voices, which gives him yet another reason to be the Main Vocal and of course there is also his quality in vocal stability and being an absolute pitch. In this case he and Tae.
Going to Vocal Leader
Sometimes the vocal leader may be the one with the highest pitch and is responsible for the high notes. This is like a rule in Kpop. In this case, Jimin is a countertenor. These voices can sometimes seem clearer and more delicate and even have a more feminine sound depending on the music and how you sing. And it was born to be Jimin's, he exudes a high voice, but I love his slightly lower notes and I feel like they give him more relief, not too low notes that he can't handle.
Now the other voices. But they are not less important or of lesser quality.
Tae: for me he is a Spintor tenor, a lower tenor, but he reaches very high highs and very low notes. He also tends to have a greater vocal range and fits well in opera music and theater. Because it is a subgroup of timbres between the tenor and the baritone, this voice is often misclassified. In kpop, 99% baritones will sometimes not have a leading role, because 80% of kpop songs are in tenor tone. he came as the group's secret weapon for coming with something outside of kpop and despite having few lines Tae He does things that require a lot, jumping an octave to 2 octaves in notes in a short time that are required. He has the greatest vocal range of the group, but is rarely used because there are other tenors.
Unlike Jk, Tae's voice is not a Kpop voice. but Soul, Jazz, R&B and Lyric.
Jin is the main visual, he is also a tenor, but he doesn't have as high tones as Jimin, Jin is a lyrical tenor, he hits very high notes too and with more body and has more ease with vibratos and Belting, I don't know if it's like that who writes and Jin has beautiful low tones as his voice can go deeper due to his timbre
