But how is the engineering program here when compared to UAB? Im on the fence about which school to enroll in since i was accepted into both. What’s your opinion? I’m more interested in academics than the party atmosphere.
What do y’all have to say about Bryce Lawn? I’m transferring in the fall and that’s where I got my room assignment at but I haven’t heard anybody say anything about it.
What are the requirements (ACT/SAT/GPA) to attend Alabama? I'm currently at my local community college; eventually, I plan on transferring after I get my Generals/AA. Alabama is one of those schools that peak my interest of a institution I would love to further my education at.
sorry to be so offtopic but does any of you know of a trick to log back into an Instagram account?? I somehow forgot my password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me.
@Tomas Scott Thanks so much for your reply. I got to the site thru google and Im in the hacking process atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Absolutely! We would suggest joining some type of club or organization revolved around something you are interested in to make friends with similar interests. That is also a good way to make a BIG school feel small. We wish you the best in your transfer process!! Let us know if you have any other questions :)
Hey Dani & Nick, i am willing to apply to Alabama University for graduate school in fall 2019 , i just wanted to know about the average living cost, the cost of the dorm and food.
Living cost can be very variable. Dorms have probably changed in price but that info should be online somewhere. Off-campus living cost are variable also, and generally depend on how close to campus you are, as well as, how new the facility is.
There are so many international students at Alabama! You can find information on the Alabama site: gobama.ua.edu/international/student-life/ If you have any specific questions I would love to help.
I'm really conflicted about going here and going to Purdue. Alabama is a 12 hour drive from my house while Purdue is only 2. Is the insane distance worth it?
Personally, it is worth it. Alabama is a 14 hour drive to my home town. I have never been to Purdue and I obviously love Alabama so I'm a little biased. Pick the school that feels like your home away from home. You will make friends, get good grades, and have a good time at any school that you put your effort into. Let me know if you have any questions about Alabama!
I was a transfer student too! I made it a priority to get involved with things on campus to make friends fast. I joined Habitat For Humanity and made great friends through that. There are so many other clubs and activities here at Alabama and I'm sure you will find something to get involved with.
Hi! I’m looking to transfer to Alabama this fall as a sophomore and I’m worried about finding roommates and what residential hall to live in. R there sophomores there who stay in dorms?
Are you going into your first year at Alabama? If you are a first-year student the University only lets you buy specific packages that have 3-4 games. In order to buy tickets for the other games, I would suggest going on Facebook and looking on the Alabama Student Ticket Exchange group- closer to each individual game people sell their tickets and it is super easy to get a ticket to any game you want! I hope this helped.
They probably aren't available yet. You will get an e-mail this summer telling you when you can buy them. It will be on your mybama homepage when the time comes.
Lo Mck13 I wonder how it feels to be a fan of a team that cheats , I used to be a fan of all Alabama teams , including Auburn . After today's game , watching Auburn interfering with td passes , and only getting called on 1 , I will never root for Auburn again .I hope you never even win another coin toss , much less another game . Fan for 50 years , never saw them cheat until today , fan no more .

Could you afford an off campus living area that’s pretty nice with one or two part time jobs?
What is the classroom setting like? Are the classes difficult? Is it easy to pass as long as you work?

Hey Jordan! There are sophomores who stay in dorms, however, it is definitely way less common than living in an apartment.

How much do football season tickets cost for students?
You get to chose from four different packages all around $20 bucks. You can also trade your tickets for a different game.
