And SVT managed to make it sound a lot more cheerful.. So the audience must have really loved it and voted them.. My point is to those who keeps coming after the boys with so called 'fandom power'.. Dudes.. We ain’t that powerful.. And the original singer, himself loved it and he personally invited them to perform this on his 50th anniversary show.. He's well known for not having guests on his shows and he chose SVT out of 16 singers/groups present there..

many of you probably dont know that winning the whole thing is a BIG DEAL. it's rare for kpop idols to win, even at least 1 round but seventeen won the whole thing. yes, against an senior soloist who won many times on this show before. this performance dont have top tier amazing vocals as mamamoo (a group who also won in immortal songs. Only 3 idol groups have won in immortal songs) but i think the main reason why svt won was simply because they have this ability to connect with the audience. their energy makes you want to dance along. for me, most idols lack in this aspect. they get to focused on looking 'cool' and impressive or get to immersed in their own world that they forget to interact with the crowd. you'd understand this if you watched produce series, i guess that's how they're taught by their trainers. rookies will eventually learn to connect with audience as their experiences builds up or they'll stick to their comfort zone. point is, this is what makes seventeen amazing. they're truly performers and entertainers. they know how to hype the crowd. when the crowd gets bored, svt knows how to hype the crowd. in blue dragon awards where actors can be seen having this 'i dont care im bored' look in watching idol performance, svt performed aju nice and was bold enough to tell the audience to stand up which they did, with smiles on their faces.

What I find unique about SEVENTEEN is when they make a performance like this they include the audience in it, and they do it so naturally as well. Some idols who have tons of experience dont do it as naturally as SEVENTEEN. And Seventeen has very good stage presence, they know how to pick songs that the audience will like and relate to

I mean, I have seen him smile that widely before, but it was different in this performance you know? He was so happy, almost like he had always wanted to perform that song on stage in front of that artist. It's really something to see him like that, it really is

We all know how difficult it is to maintain an idol group with many members - resources (food, toiletries, etc), lines, choreo, screentime, etc, yet I think seventeen is one of the few large number groups that debuted as a large number and has stayed the same number. I'm a big Smtown fan, and my heart broke when I saw members leave SNSD, Suju, exo (and i mean during their active periods - not now when it is reasonable for idols to do their own things like some snsd members). This may seem irrelevant to the video (and lol it probably is), but this performance just reminded me of their unity. So really hats off to these wonderful and wholesome boys
