Good story. Honestly I really didn't know about the cylinder design of these solar panels. It seems like the panels could have had an advantage. They obviously didn't for one reason or another. Its a shame they threw them away. I'm not sure custom made glass components really could have that big of a market value. The guy that they interviewed would have probably paid less than pennies on the dollar for the stuff.
