Being able to run Windows in 386 Enhanced is like the compatibility gold standard! Congrats! Amazing work!

Thanks! A lot of other developers helped make this possible

Sorry if this is a naive question, but what top 10 apps are you running on Windows here?

@@rugxulo I'm hoping to persuade a win386 version of DooM, but I mostly use the boring stuff, word/excel simcity/simearth & QuickC for Windows. I like how full featured/fast/small the old win16 stuff is

I followed your instructions to the letter, but Windows doesn't start. I'm using Virtualbox 6.1

You got Windows 3.1 will this also work with Windows 3.11 for Work Groups? I know the creator of FreeDos said 311 also requires enhanced mode instead of just standard mode but didn't know if it would require any thing special on how it would get set up. Thanks for the video.

What were your Virtualbox settings? It keeps crashing for me, when trying to start Windows.

      Same here!
He mentions his settings in the description, which I'm using and it crashes...

i am trying to use a flash drive with freedos and it crashes after it finds a hardware configuration.
can i skip this part of setup or do i need to fix it via a driver or smth
    how to reproduce problem:
    make Freedos usb from Rufus
put files for windows on it
    run setup
go through the setup until it says "checking your computers hardware configuration"
it will crash and you cant even do Ctrl Alt Del. you have to just reset it via the power button
    debug info:
storage media: flash drive, 128 gigs, contains both FreeDOS and "windows 3.11 For workgroups (english for central europe)" setup files. (that could be the problem)
keyboard: USB (shows up as PS2) (also this should not be the problem as USB keyboards show up as PS2 becuase of BIOS)
mouse: USB (shows up as None)
pc: idk, its a HP from 2017ish and used to run windows 7 professional
