A tip I learned from a buddy of mine for filming; grab about a 10 inch 2x4, mount a 2 pound pice of lead on it, mount a go pro mount to the board. Works awesome to just keep the camera on the bottom & out of your way. All the best man, go get that massive nugget!
I've been watching underwater dredging for the last year , and here are a couple of things that I have noticed..., #1, for inch hoses stay cleaner longer , and 2 , if you use a four inch hoses , weld a ' u' shaped bar across the end of hose to keep the hose from plugging very fast. Just saying...

hi ..greetings from british columbia canada.....sure looks like a lot of fun....against mining law up here if you do get permission from the gov't for what they call 'enhanced sniping got to paint all your gear day glow and lay out a bed sheet with your permission # in dayglo as well readable from a helicopter....and all your material has to be deposited on dry land for processing ....sheesh.... i have a claim on the fraser river.... untold riches 8 feet out and 4 feet down...am making a 12 foot camera guided hand suction dredge with a capture chamber...anyways nice vid...i guess it has its hazards with undermining the bank ...thanks ...mickey miner
this was done in northern California. currently illegal to dredge but we do it any way because fuk them and their unconstitutional law. it's about to be overturned in the courts . Myself and responsible dredging miners don't cut into the bank.

Right on Sam! I have been doing the same thing here in Oregon also. We aren't completely shut down but most of the ground is. I am still dredging!

how the tool works
how many displacements is this engine of yours? I built one with a 6.5 engine displacement of 3 inches so I haven't tested it yet. centrifugal pump
