Always loved how elegant this scale sounds. Nice work! Am I misunderstanding the construction, or is the D3 also a ding here? Definitely adds variety in playing if so.
Thank you very much 🙏🙂! Yes, you got it right, D3 is also made like ding. I started making lowest notes in the circle like dings, especially on Low Mystics, but also on some other scales. The reason is because I like the timber of these notes much more, also its shoulders are pretty cool (ofc more if tuned properly, not easy all the time 🙃). And secondly it opens the doors to multi-scale instrument in case one add the complimentary notes to the "second ding" as a root note. Not the case of this instrument yet, but still it gives cool experience while playing 🙂
One of the nicest sound sculpture i have heard. ❤❤❤ thank you
Thank you for listening 🙂🙏
Wonderful clear sound, the pan and recording are as clean as a crystal! I wonder; cannot all noted be made with a bulge on the outside?
Thank you very much 🙏🙂. Sure, all tonefields can be made like an "outies", I think some makers do it like that
What does "like outies" mean?
