I also love wearing totes but I've recently got into the Uniqlo bag dupe which fits everything I need. Tho if I'm going to be out for long I really have to wear totes. And the thing I do is just use a transparent pouch for all my important items. Use those clip-on things for easy access to alcohol/sanitizer or my cap to hang on. It helps if the tote has a small pocket. And I'm planning to sew in a thick garter to help hold my tumbler.
