No they do not have ownership over what you build. They ask for your code in the rules to make sure what you say your app does it actually does. All they'll do with your app is put the video on the website project gallery and maybe use it for marketing material post competition! But what you build is yours.
Actually they have the rights to copy what you do without further compensation I was skeptical and confirmed after sending the terms to AI to breakdown.
