When I first heard Arch Enemy, I would have bet a million dollars that their singer was a guy. When I found out it was a chick, and a gorgeous one at that, I was blown away. She truly has a great talent.
I downloaded Ravenous music video through kazaa or something back in the day and I was watching it for the first time with my friend. We were like "why is this woman lipsyncing to this song?" Soon mind blown.

I’m brand new to Arch Enemy and WOW! Love everything about this! I’m way behind the curve on this lol. I love that both guitarists name dropped Frank Marino and Michael Schenker. The drummer got my thumbs up crediting Neil Peart (it’s pronounced Peert btw). All of them are excellent musicians and i really like how progressive they are. And then there’s Angela. Damn! Her voice is amazing, but what i think i love most about her is her attitude. She is so fucking metal in her performance! Love at first sight! She has the full range of high scream to guttural growl. Awesome! I’ve been a metalhead for over 45 years, but never got into harsh vocals until late 2022 when i discovered Jinjer. I still can’t say i really like listening to guys do it lol. And i still like it better when a singer does both harsh and clean. I’m a professional bassist and singer, and I’m just starting to learn proper harsh vocals. I understand Angela thrashed her voice. I don’t want that to happen. Tatiana and others seem to have the ability to do it healthily. Done right it should be less fatiguing than regular singing. But damn! Angela is fkn amazing. I’m sorry I’m late to the party. I’m gonna have to go down the Arch Enemy rabbit hole. I’m already in love with Jinjer lol. Let’s fkn go!

I was looking for something new as far as music goes and I saw Arch Enemy well I really didn't listen to that kind of music,I never liked that growling voice in music,but I saw them pop up on my computer again so decided to listen I had the gigantic 2 video with megadeth over the whole thing I skipped over their video I just couldn't digest that voice it just turned me off,so then I listened to Opeth then my favorite lamb of god..Then another day while I was going through the video again,I listened to Angela warming up..it was weird she was doing toe stepping vocals to smooth and elevate her voice,I watched the backstage stuff heard how they were so humble and quiet,I guess being around that loud environment does that because at the end of the day you just want to find a quiet spot..So I listened to their brief concert,the next day I fell in love with Angela..I was just slowed away and taken aback by her illustrious vocals and beauty,,awesome performance..I got on the internet looked up their videos,boom I found My apocalypse.I was totally slowed away and hooked on that video..She was really special to me and I'm black..but the way..Mann if I would have met her in person..I would have picked out..like Wow..you are really beautiful.And she really is inside and out.One day I listened to one of her interviews,I really wanted to know her,She really had my love and respect..Awesome Lady just Awesome...!!!
