Heat transfer takes place due to conduction, convection and radiation. Vacuum inside bottle prevents Conduction and Convection, however it can not prevent Radiation.
Hence some manufacturers like Pexpo, Milton put Aluminum foil in between two layers thus preventing or reducing loss of heat transfer due to radiation.
In simple words I will try to explain the manufacturing process of a Vacuum thermosteel flask
Steps for manufacturing
- pipe cutting
- water bulging
- neck forming / shaping
- CNC threading
- mouth inner walls welding
- Removing air from gap in decompression chamber
- using glass beads on the micro hole which seals the micro hole used for decompression at 4500 deg centigrade (to melt the glass bead and seal the micro-hole)

As per our national standards Vacuum flasks have to be marked with the ISI certification mark. However as per June 2011 report from Consumer Voice there was no mention of standardisation

In Milton thermos there is vertical joint, indicating weld. Is that weld safe as we got to know from one of your video that even lead is used to weld.
That's for copper bottle and not steel bottle... So its not applicable here

Things that works
1. Vinegar Soak:
- Fill the steel bottle with a mixture of equal parts white vinegar and water.
- Let it sit for a few hours or overnight, allowing the vinegar to dissolve the limescale.
- Rinse the bottle thoroughly with clean water to remove any vinegar residue.
2. Baking Soda Paste:
- Make a paste by mixing baking soda with a small amount of water.
- Apply the paste to the areas affected by limescale and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes.
- Scrub the bottle gently with a non-abrasive sponge or brush.
- Rinse the bottle thoroughly to remove any residue.
3. Lemon Juice Solution:
- Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the steel bottle, ensuring the affected areas are covered.
- Let it sit for an hour or two, allowing the citric acid in the lemon juice to dissolve the limescale.
- Scrub the bottle gently using a sponge or brush.
- Rinse the bottle thoroughly with water to remove any lemon residue.

Borosil I did not test since it do not fall under highest sellers, as well it was made in China...
Inner to outer cylinder contains vacuum, if it gets punctured /leaked then outer wall will also heat. Ofcourse outer wall will heat very minor even flask is good, but if heat loss is more then its vacuum loss, hence function loss 🙋

आता असा थर्मास इथे शोधावा लागेल .. मला वेळ मिळाला तर मी नक्कीच शोधून सांगतो

Pls prefer a themosflusk which is containing 2litre water and keep water in 24 hours with hot condition .

Sir, my Milton Flask 1LTR is not working.... The Coffee or Tea get Cold in 1 to 2 hours.... Kindly suggest me the way to repair it so that the Coffee or Tea remains Hot throughout or for a Longer Duration.... Thank you....

my bottle vacuum is intact but the rubber seal is not working
