Especially from Kenny who still sings Patrick Williams praises whos older and hasn't come close to that production for a full season.
I am not sure why you would compare box scores for these two players. Patrick Williams as a 3 and D wing is the leagues most sought after archetype... Giddey is a guard with about 7% higher usage. PWill has shot 10% better from 3 than Giddey over their careers. I think it's fair to say Giddey has a limited ceiling if his 3p% cannot take another jump.
@@marcosantella1736 Patrick Williams wasn't selected to be a 3 and D wing at #4 when they took him. That's what he is now because his development has been minimal if there has been any at all. I'm glad somebody else sees this as a win for both teams. Giddey is young and will improve at least a little bit, if not a lot, and should be starting for another five or seven years. Caruso has about two more good years in him, then will either slowly or quickly fade. OKC needed to get rid of their 4th best option on offense, trade him for a guy who will be their second best defender (Dort #1). With this trade, the Bulls are improving on offense, but they won't have to pay Giddey a max contract (because of his hetero reputation), and they're getting rid of a relatively expensive contract, relative to what Caruso brought to the Bulls. Every time Bulls brass asked for Giddey plus a draft pick, OKC said: "Yeah, but he's old. No picks."
Josh Giddey could definitely develop into a Gordon Hayward type of player. He has good court vision and can score, just needs to work on his shot but he's still only 21 and a change of scenery could be what he needed
I just kinda tripped out Chicago didn’t ask for any picks whatsoever. Seems like Chicago could have gotten more for Caruso, either from OKC or elsewhere
The Bulls need draft picks. They had an offer of multiple 1st Rd picks for Caruso at the trade deadline. OKC is drowning in picks. They got none. What a vet for OKC to gain. Caruso's attitude and work ethic towards the game is elite and having that kind of mentality to rub off on the young thunder team is awesome for them 👌 not to sure what Chicago gain from this trade though
Bulls fans were gassed up last year into thinking Caruso is worth multiple 1sts. They assumed the 1sts were the unprotected type. I'm sure if anyone was offering a 1st, it was a non-lottery pick. @@JRRM97 rondo in the fact that his only job really is to get the scorers the ball. Rondo is miles better but rondos main role when he was one the Celtics championship team was to get KG Pierce and Ray the ball. He was only the 4th scoring option
I'm not saying Josh doesn't have any upside to his game, on the contrary, I do agree that if it was down to either a Giddey 1 for 1 swap with Caruso or a Caruso for let's say two 1sts type of deal then yes getting the proven 18 6 and 5 guy with big potential and upside is better than just picks and nothing more especially since those picks are likely heading down in the draft standings considering OKC's growth and development. However, was it completely out of the question to demand at least 1 frp alongside Giddey considering the guy you're giving up?
This is not a win win. This is one of the biggest win-lose trades I've ever seen. Bulls couldnt even get a single pick from the THUNDER, who have more draft picks then they can even USE. This was a godawful trade from Chicago's perspective, especially considering many teams were interested in Caruso and were willing to give up solid players and picks. The only conceivable win from this for the Bulls is this may be a sign of them blowing it up and rebuilding but even then they've been saying Giddey will be their "replacement for Lonzo" so there's a possibility that theyre delusional enough to keep trying to make this team work so i wouldn't hold my breath. OKC won this trade and basically just stole Caruso for nothing. A+ for the Thunder, F for the Bulls, one sided trade
Rebuild idea. Do a 82-0 challenge in every era. But you have to use the same team and rebuild them in every era. Example take the spurs in the bird and magic era and continue using them in every era with the players you have. So it’ll have to be a continuation rebuild
As a Magic fan I’d love to see Vooch back in Orlando or even in Philly. But that would be ridiculous n unrealistic to see Bulls give the Magic Vooch back.
OKC's front office is so much better than Chicago's. OKC has a good, playoff-caliber team AND a stockpile of draft picks. They can keep adding talent through the draft or fill in gaps with trades. Of course, Chicago fans aren't happy, they just got worse. Chicago fans are just waiting to see how badly the team gets fleeced in the next round of trades.
It doesn't make a lot of sense for the Bulls, imo. This is gonna lessen Coby White's rise, and if injuries arent an issue, there are just so many guards now, and a lot of them need the ball to be effective. Lavine, White, Giddey, Lonzo, Ayo. Thats a lot of solidly good guards, but not a lot of good options for mix and match to bring out the best in anyone. If this is one of many moves for the Bulls, maybe okay. But if this is the move, not a good one.
What makes the trade not so great for the bulls is they didn’t get any draft picks for Caruso and ownership forced gm AK to decline 3 first round picks one being the top ten in this years draft that’s what’s bad about the bulls trading Caruso here. Nothing against Giddey but how do we not get a pick when OKC has like 15 of them
the fuck it is. Coby White is about to be the 3rd(maybe 4th) ball handler on a team that won’t make the playoffs. his bulls career might as well be over. if i was him i’d request a trade.
Chicago should also trade White to capitalise on his value. He's on a great contract and I don't think he's getting much better than he already is, just give Giddey the ball, surround him with young shooters and build around that. Even if he isn't the main man going forward I think he'll definitely be a very good connector piece if you can get either a wing or a big as your franchise player

@@JRRM97 rondo in the fact that his only job really is to get the scorers the ball. Rondo is miles better but rondos main role when he was one the Celtics championship team was to get KG Pierce and Ray the ball. He was only the 4th scoring option
I totally expect a deal for Allan for OKC before the draft or on draft night let’s get it thunder up
I'm not saying Josh doesn't have any upside to his game, on the contrary, I do agree that if it was down to either a Giddey 1 for 1 swap with Caruso or a Caruso for let's say two 1sts type of deal then yes getting the proven 18 6 and 5 guy with big potential and upside is better than just picks and nothing more especially since those picks are likely heading down in the draft standings considering OKC's growth and development.
A+ for the Thunder, F for the Bulls, one sided trade
this sucks for the Bulls, they need Shooting
Rebuild idea. Do a 82-0 challenge in every era. But you have to use the same team and rebuild them in every era. Example take the spurs in the bird and magic era and continue using them in every era with the players you have. So it’ll have to be a continuation rebuild
Was wondering why the first one got deleted 😅
Same
error in the intro lol
bulls needed a 1st rd pick and a 2nd round pick. OKC has a thousand picks.
The defender for offender trade
As a thunder fan, not happy with this trade we will not be the one seed again
THANKS OKC😊😊😊😊😊
@@t7-nba379 Williams ain’t good tho 😂😂
Thank you for Caruso😂 Giddey is horrible
@@chancejanssen190Giddey will thrive with the Bulls
@@chancejanssen190you a fake okc fan lmaoo bc you would know that giddey was playing out of position which caused him to struggle 😭
@@mikeysbusy Giddey couldn’t adapt to off ball play. He’s also a terrible defender and shooter.
This guy booprinted twice holy
Wish would we have got a pick
Ayo is a bright spot on this team he and coby should be the starting guards let derozan walk get a big man and picks for Zach and start rebuilding 😢
We know what happened when harden got out of oklahoma
Similar vibes for sure if giddey wins mip next season…
Ritz for ritz
As a Magic fan I’d love to see Vooch back in Orlando or even in Philly. But that would be ridiculous n unrealistic to see Bulls give the Magic Vooch back.
Cavs receive: Mikal Bridges
Nets receive: OKC war chest of picks
OKC receive: Jarrett Allen
Who says no?
Hey that’s pretty good 👍🏾
OKC
We need to trade 2 of either Zach, Damar or Vooch. In return you have to prioritize salary cap, picks and young F’s or C’s.
I think the trade would be a lot better if they had squeezed a couple 1sts out of okc
I don't like it because the bulls now have 2 ball dominant guards with giddey and coby
😭 yo go check on the bulls fans reactions tho they are not a fan of this trade
OKC's front office is so much better than Chicago's. OKC has a good, playoff-caliber team AND a stockpile of draft picks. They can keep adding talent through the draft or fill in gaps with trades. Of course, Chicago fans aren't happy, they just got worse. Chicago fans are just waiting to see how badly the team gets fleeced in the next round of trades.
Bc they are dumb they want a trade to happen and when it does they cry
Needs to get his Bird right ;)
It doesn't make a lot of sense for the Bulls, imo.
Nothing against Giddey but how do we not get a pick when OKC has like 15 of them
I predict Lavine getting traded to the Nets for Ben Simmons and a 1st round pick.
Could definitely see mark & presti using Caruso in a bigger trade
As a Spurs fan, I hope the Bulls run it back! We want their 2025 1st round draft pick. 😁
Even if they do it’s gonna be outside the top 10 gang 😭
coby white not a good shooter? ok dude.
No Giddey
the fuck it is. Coby White is about to be the 3rd(maybe 4th) ball handler on a team that won’t make the playoffs. his bulls career might as well be over. if i was him i’d request a trade.
ngl you lost me at "coby white and ayo are not elite shooters" bro they shot 40% from 3 last season where have you been?
I think people say this is a bad trade considering how much more the bulls couldve gotten for caruso
Malik means Kings.
Carushow the goat fit in any team
Chicago should also trade White to capitalise on his value. He's on a great contract and I don't think he's getting much better than he already is, just give Giddey the ball, surround him with young shooters and build around that. Even if he isn't the main man going forward I think he'll definitely be a very good connector piece if you can get either a wing or a big as your franchise player
Giddey averaged 16-8-6 in his second year at 20 years old before his minutes got tanked. Bad trade okc
Thunder didn’t need another guard, they need big man depth
And j dub at pf at 6’5 is fucken crazy, it won’t work in the playoffs
Shai is not an elite defender lol we're just throwing it around now
Chicago still stuck in the nba propaganda
u mean purgatory?
@@trvspvrkNot the worst typo haha
Okay? it’s obvious it’s gonna take time just like every other rebuild wtf

Nah you just don’t know basketball
I agree with most of what you said, but Jae crowder got you 2+ second round picks

Zach Lavigne to the spurs
Spurs wouldn't want that
This man didn't name one reason why adding giddy helps the Bulls yet graded the trade B 😂😂😂 Caruso straight up for a fucking bench player who won't fit the team. He said the bulls will rebuild but trading for giddy is better than draft picks. Htf does that make sense?
He can play make, not a good shooter but isn’t bad, he isn’t a great player but can help develop the younger guys. Good rebuild guy to have
Win-win
Hell no
Josh giddey was bad with all of okc talent and u think bringing him to a worse situation (drastically). Is going to unlock his potential
He was playing out of position in okc which is why he played bad he’s running pg with bulls which will definitely unlock him
The Bulls front office wants to still contend so this is an awful trade for Chicago
just read a post saying the bulls traded for Giddey so they can make the playoffs....
I think/hope they were being sarcastic. Giddey does making the Bulls better than Caruso.
@@jrmarcus trust me they're being for real
Not a win-win trade this is a fleeced what are we talking about. Kot4q reaction explain why they were robbed in this trade.Chicago bulls draft trade is a D or F
How can you defend this from the Bulls perspective. Horrific trade, stop rationalizing it
Age of consent in Chicago is 17 Josh Giddey strikes again
Proven innocent but ok
@@mikeysbusyno he wasn’t 😂 they dropped the case cause the family didn’t want to cooperate. This is Josh Giddey’s 2nd account huh
I guarantee giddey will get booed to start the season next year. He’s not a fan favorite and nobody respects him. As a bulls fan I refuse to root for him.
Shai is not a elite defender plz stop this narrative
All praises to them outside the Chicago Bulls have ripped off Oklahoma thunder a young talented player a point God true point God you figure it out later laughing out loud Patrick Williams is going to be re-signed hopefully not traded because the book trade all their undeveloped young players, and they All Star, let’s go Bulls
bad trade. he’s going to need an extension soon and they’ll lock themselves into another bad big contract that interferes with white’s development as the lead ball handler. giddey can’t shoot, finish, or defend. he’s a lead ball handler and NEEDS the ball. so now you’re taking the ball out of coby whites hand to make him a 2 guard, after having his best season with the ball in his hands. also caruso should land you a pick, it should’ve landed a pick at the deadline. but they had to sell low bc they missed their opportunity. the bulls front office sucks at trades and negotiations. not saying giddey is a bad player, but he’s a very limited player. now when coby white wants the ball, the others teams will just sag off and leave giddey open, making it harder for their already terrible spacing.
But like Josh kiddey can only really pass
Anyone who thinks this is a win for the Bulls is smoking good dope.
Saying all this like giddey not winning mip next season is crazy but ok
OKC really going off that Boston Celtics booprint
I fumbled that so hard lmao
first! also thunder up!
Win Win ? :D :D :D :D :D Bulls shouldve demanded atleast 2 first round picks one for Caruso and one for taking on Giddeys contract. This is fking disaster. Richest teams getting even richer AGAIN. You cant fking convince me that league isnt orchestrating all this bullshlt behind the scenes when its allways the same teams getting good player for nothing.
