Loved the song, the album, and the various incarnations of the band! Oh, and the songwriting, can't forget that! Tom's songs always make me want to read the liner notes to be sure I'm not missing any of his lyrics.
Tom .... To listen to you speak is a reflection of my own life. I capture the genuine feel of emotion that it takes to write something special - this song is a part of my life and I connected immediately with the magic you speak of... I'm 50 now and it will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank you
I was 17 when this album came out, back in 1986. There was so much going in music. It was a magical year over here in Vancouver with Expo. And this record seemed to fit just perfectly between PG's "So" and PS's "Graceland". It was Awesome. A great time to be 17, or 31, in Mr. Cochrane's case. :)
Loved hearing from him on this... thought I liked it before but it now resonates even deeper. We are so blessed to have this guy, what an incredible artist!!
Thank you Tom, for this song. I hope to one day meet you and listen to you live, adding a few more verses like only you can. I’m sure those will be Magical too. Dirk ❤️🦅❤️
One of my favourite songs of all time; but The Symphony Sessions version. There has always been a rumour (for the last twenty years or so) that Tom has been working on new verses.
This little band that didn' t last long back in the mid 80's .... known as the New MOnkees , covered this song . That was the first I'd heard it at that time.
I really dig this record, I remember buying it back in '86.I was hoping for a strong follow up to Breaking Curfew. I wasn't disappointed. This album is one of Tom's best. Neruda was my favorite album for years but I gotta give it to Ragged Ass Road now. Thank you Tom for all the great music over the years.
How crazy is that? My copy of Don’t Fight It also has the hole punch in the upper right corner. Radio stations always did that when they gave records away. Freaky!!
One of the most amazing songs that any man can relate to.
Boy Inside the Man is magical for me too, Tom.
This is one of my favorite albums of all time .... 1986 was awesome times!
Brilliant song writer....Tom is a Canadian Icon!!!!
Love how thoughtful & down to earth he is, you can tell it's about the art for him & not fame & money etc
Canadian rock legend. We love you Tom!

Great tune. So lucky to have lived in Canada and been able to hear this song when released in 86
