- A partnership was approved Monday night between QC East and Eastland Yards to use the site of the former mall. An ice rink will return as part of the approved plans.

The 70's and 80's was the best time to live in Charlotte. It's dangerous today.
Thanks for the memory. This was the place to be in the late 70/s. My wife & I were dating and spent just about every weekend there. I learned to skate there.
I'm in this video. Starting at 00:19 I am the little girl in a blue skating dress on the left side of the circle, kind of hesitantly looking around and then attempting front crossovers. The idea that I would show up in such a short clip is so incredibly random.
