Hi Damian. A very great song. I'm working out an article about the plane crash of February 2 1959 and few weeks ago I was reading a book and found out that Ritchie was just crazy about the bending in guitar solo. So he managed to put bends everywhere in his songs - which is what he have done in “Come on Let’s Go !”. Thank you very much, Kareen.
Just got last week's lesson under my fingers, time to start another..much appreciated, it's the timing that rocks these great songs...takes time to nail it..
Thank you Todd. I was just in your area yesterday. I dropped my daughter and her fiends off at the Manatee County Fair. Have a great weekend also. Cheers :)
Love the history Damian. Thank you. As someone who bought your Rockabilly cds, I can highly recommend. I used to have a condo in St. Pete…wish I could have caught you locally. All the best…
Great lesson/ demo! Thank you Damian and thanks so very much indeed for the information about the original recording and the guys name that played the brilliant lead guitar on the original. I always wanted to know who that was. Thanks to you Damian now I do. 🌌🌅🌠👍🏻😉🕊
Thank you for a great lesson and for those final thoughts as always. I watched a documentary last night on the song American Pie and Richie's sister was featured in a couple of segments. She seems like a lovely woman and had some very profound things to say to Don McLean about her brother.
Great lesson! I've finally practiced my country triads enough to use your lessons for real. Hopefully I can master this one and start truly adding licks to my pallet
Just stumbled across your sight and found you pretty damn cool and very knowledgeable! I subscribed immediately. Thanks for the help brother ! Great playing and great singing !!!
Just another great lesson, thanks Damian. If you ever get the chance do you think you might take a look at Black Cadillac by Joyce Green, I can never quite get the intro. Thx
I love the way you teach, does your dvd do this with the tab and chords appearing as in this beautiful little piece 😊 also is your dvd available to play on U.K. region devices . . . I have a Sony PS 3 that I play my dvds on
Thank you so much for the kind words. The DVDs are region free so they will play on any player. You can also purchase them as a download also. My "Ultimate Rockabilly Guitar" course comes with tabs as PDF files but they aren't on the screen. In that course I talk you through each lick slowly note by note. Cheers & keep on rockin' :)
As always, a super fun guitar AND history lesson. Thank you. I just noticed you're no longer playing your Brian Setzer signature 6120. Did you get rid of it or just retire it? The one you're now playing is the same one I owned. For a short period they lost the Chet Atkins endorsement and simply put Nashville on the pickguard.
Thank you for watching. I really appreciate it. I still have the guitar. It was in a video of mine about a month ago. I bought it in 1996. It's the first Gretsch I ever owned. I saved up and sold a lot of gear to buy it lol. Keep on rockin' my friend. :)
A bit crazy to think that Ritchie's recording career lasted a mere six months, and yet he still achieved legendary status.
wow, really
At such a young age aswell, he was 17 when he died.
Always appreciate your history lessons on the unsung heroes of early rock and roll!
Thank you David :)
Wow. Crazy. Ritchie Valens tune done up while sporting a Banned in DC t-shirt! Two of my favorite types of sound in one vid! 🤘
Thank you for watching :)

I was just listening to Fast Freight last night. That's a rockin' instrumental. I'll put down your requests into my book. :)

Hey. You got that great solo break down, note for note. Impressive. What kind of guitar did Rene Hall use for his solo?

Cool cat!
Thank you Joe :)
Thanks, could you do a lesson on Marvin Gaye's, sexual healing or Michael Bolton, When a man loves a woman, a melodic version. Thanks 👍
Thank you. I do like that song by Marvin Gaye but I usually focus on guitar styles from the 1940s & 50s.
Has the backing track got an acoustic guitar on Damian? Tried to play this live as a three piece and always sounds empty during the solo.
👌👌👌
Thank you for watching. :)
