Wow, I didn’t know that the box could be swapped like that. I’m happy that everything worked out for you.

Hi from a fellow box truck mate. We spray fluid foam to coat the under belly of our trucks. Glad to see you back rolling and thanks for the video

I had a flat from driving over a large nail in a parking lot. It's very possible. It's very difficult to deliberately puncture a tire. It can be done by someone who knows what they are doing, but that object looks like it had the weight of the truck behind it. I'm grateful for you sharing your experience with us. I am leaning towards a box 🚚 truck for my build after seeing your video of your build. Now I'm very likely to go with a box truck in case of something like this happening. I can just switch chasies. Better than scrapping the entire build. Blessings to you all and safe travels.

So glad you're back in your home! I'm looking at doing about the same as you did but with a lift gate because as I age I'm finding stairs harder and harder to navigate. I was actually looking at an older U-Haul truck that will fit my needs perfectly but it does have a new engine and has NEVER seen snow, thank God. Happy you're back on the road again!

LOL.🤣 I love that red neck bumper, plywood back etc. It looks like it would be hard to drive with no weight on the back. I'm glad that you made it to BC OK. Maybe some totes full of sand or some heavy stones mounted on the frame could have helped, but I know you had a time limit.
It's appropriate that you call it "Walter White" (from Breaking Bad) because it was broke pretty bad when you changed the box. You squeezed every possible kilometer out of Betty!
Getting the truck from the Alberta was a good idea. They have way less rust because of the climate. I may do the same when I get my plane project done and move on to a stealth camper project. The older vehicles here near Kitchener are usually pretty rusty. It looks like you should get years of service out of that chassis.
Did Walter have a box or something else before you bought it? Was it damaged, what is the story of Walter?
That was an epic way to bring in the new year on the bridge! All the best for the new year.
    🥳

That didn't look good at all when the last video ended and this one started. That was a nice swap but I think I would have gone over the new frame with a rust paint. I like that you got a few parts off the old girl. Well you have to break it in with a trip to Arizona or Mexico. Hahaha Cheers beautiful people! 😘🥂😘

How is that the box could be perfectly sealed with new chassis. Does the box have multiple fixing points so it can be moved forward/ back to match chassis from different car manufacturers?
It would be nice if you had a time to film more the processes of removing and reinstalling the box.
And I am jealous you can buy RWD truck with doubled rear wheals and use it everywhere. If I wanted that here, in Europe, the RV build would be over 3,5 T so it gets many restrictions.

    • @CanadianStealth
      @CanadianStealth  Год назад

Hi Cobra , it was pretty easy to swap out box on other chassis, because they both are exactly the same, the same mounting points on the chassis.
So true about European driver license!
Here in Canada you can drive vehicles till almost 6000kg with the same drivers license.

Thank you! It cost 3500 which was a deal because the other places were charging way more.

Try to spray the bottom of your truck with the rust protection and try washing up the bottom of your truck because of the salty roads and then apply the rust protection from time to time.
