Don't buy it for mileage. This vehicle and all other MGs are meant for car enthusiasts. Not for the average mileage seeking public. For the latter mass market brands are plenty in the market. MG, VW and Skoda are not for them.

@@shinuchoudhary9105 Not sure what your definition of a car enthusiast is, but a car enthusiast looks for build, looks, comfort, cabin quality and latest tech, besides performance. MG has it all. Not all car enthusiasts drive, many of them get driven too. For a driving enthusiast too, the performance of the 6AT isn't poor by any means.

ALL features are good in this car and it is a good value-for-money car for a person looking for a good tech & good build quality. However, the 3-Cylinder engine is never good for any car, no matter how many manufacturers are making them. Over time in the long-run, the engine related problems always show up and makes a BIG hole in your pocket.

Can you give some examples for problems with 3 cylinder engines?
We had a maruti 800 long ago. It had a 3 cylinder engine. Kept the car 14 years without any issue. All Nexons also have 3 cylinder petrol engines. I haven't heard of any expensive repair or catastrophic failure.
@@finderskeepers7293 That the manufacturers use 3-Cylinder engines does not make them technically perfect or acceptable. There is plenty of information available on the net by major auto manufacturers why they abhor 3-cylinders.
In fact, you can directly email the Technical division of Audi, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Ferrari, Ford or any other majors to get their first hand reactions and cite your M-800 engines performance. You may be surprised what you hear. Cheers !!

As for the Maruti example that is my own personal experience. Those tiny 3 pot engines are brilliant. The Japanes especially Suzuki and Daihatsu know a thing or two about engineering small cars. Let's acknowledge that.

3 cylinder engine are always perform better but after 1 lak kilometre it will show it's own face as engine problem... Cheverolet beat LT 3 cylinder engine I am sure this will not run after 1 lak kms without engine problem....
