    Thanks for the comment and thats really nice to hear. I would love to do a review on the MR762, unfortunately all the guns that we review are owned by a small group of guys and none of us have put up the money to get a MR762 yet. I'd personally love to get one they're just expensive and to me it seems so close to my scar heavy. But we'll see maybe soon... we do take donations lol. Thanks for watching and please spread the word.

    I find it funny, and by funny, I mean irritating, that Larry Vickers pushed for this slippery grip for the rest of us; but opted for a Dave Bowie, custom tree bark stipple job on his personal HK45c Tactical.

      Yeah I'm with you. I really like the pistol but I feel it would be even better with a more aggressive grip texture. Thanks for watching and please spread the word.

    "If I had to choose?" The obvious answer is a full size, and compact, AND compact tactical! (plus probably need to get the full size tactical too) I never met a gun I didn't like, but when I pick up one of my HKs, I know it is going to work, every single time.
    Great review as always!

    Great review. The backing music was perfect, and the audio mixing levels right on. So few YTers make an effort that way.

    I agree 100% with u on rather taking the full size over compact. That web grip and finger grooves are probably the best grips my hands been on with the full size 45.

    Awesome video! I came across this reading about the M1911 which my friend has and I knew it's early history in the Philippines, plus I used it in the Navy. Then kept reading and this is the new stuff they use in the military now. Great to see it, very nice gun!

  • @702CitizenArmory
    @702CitizenArmory 11 лет назад +2

    Yeah for me this has been one of those HK's I haven't warmed up to fully but, while I prefer DA/SA HK's I do want to have a LEM HK to my collection and I think its going to be a HK45C. Only because with its compact grip the lever always rubs my thumb the wrong way, an LEM mod would clear that right up :)

    Very nice vid. Nice firearm. I looked into this but Ill still ask you if there is any mechanical difference in the hk45c and the hk45c tactical?. As I recall the full size usp had some differences from the tactical and non tactical but on investigating any differences between this firearm Ive not found any difference. Maybe you know something I dont.

    • @AlabamaArsenal
      @AlabamaArsenal  9 лет назад +1

      Bbzije1 There's virtually no difference in the USPs you mentioned and theres virtually no difference in the Hk45c vs Hk45ct other than the threaded barrels and the CT comes with those elephant foot magazine. But all the parts do interchange until you go from compact to full size then they don't all interchange. Hope that helps if you have any other questions I can help with just let me know. Thanks for watching and please spread the word.

    Really like you content and presentation. But I hate you. I remember when I was asking you for your recommendation on my first HK. I choose the HK45 fast forward a few years and I now have 5 HK's just dros'd another and only have one Glock left. These thing should come with a warning sign that says "warning HK'S are a love/hate and may be adding" And I live in CA where these things come a premium.

    Awesome Review! How would you compare the recoil on the 2 hk45 vs hk45c. Also, what is there any difference with the trigger between the two?

    • @AlabamaArsenal
      @AlabamaArsenal  10 лет назад

      I would say that there's no difference in the triggers between the 2 and the recoil might be slightly less on the full size but just because it's a slightly larger gun and it gives you a little more to hold on to. Thanks for watching.

    • @AlabamaArsenal
      @AlabamaArsenal  10 лет назад

      For me it's the HK45 hands down it fits my hand extremely well and if I could have only one gun that would be it. The HK45C is great too, you probably just need to pick them both up and see which one fits you better. Either one you won't be disappointed. thanks for watching.

  • @BennyTriad

    Help me justify getting this HK 45ct vs the hk 45 full size I already have the non threaded version 45c. Dilemmas

    • @AlabamaArsenal
      @AlabamaArsenal  7 лет назад

      Do you collect HKs like baseball cards? Do you run out and buy another HK just because they change the letters or numbers on the slide? Do you buy a new HK every tine they change a single minute detail on a gun? or they call it "tactical" when all it really is, is the same exact gun you already own just with a threaded barrel? Sadly, I do.... I probably have a problem
      If you already have the HK 45C, unless you're planning on suppressing it I'm not sure that there is a "reason". On the other hand its not like these really go down in value so if you want it get it. If you don't have the full size I'd probably get that one.

  • @j.h.17
    @j.h.17 8 лет назад

    What is the full length of the gun?? i have looked on hk us site and european site, but when i compare the info on the hk 45 tactical its bigger in real life then what is stated on their sites. so, i was wondering if you could tell the full length is on the compact you have??

    • @AlabamaArsenal
      @AlabamaArsenal  8 лет назад

      It's a big gun. With the threaded barrel just using a tape measure, not super exact but it'll give you an idea, it's 8 inches long. if you got the normal version without the threaded barrel it is 7 1/8. With the threaded barrelits actually the exact same length of the full size HK45. It's a great gun, but not exactly compact. hope this helps. Thanks for watching and please spread the word.

    • @AlabamaArsenal
      @AlabamaArsenal  10 лет назад

      If you have small hands the compact is a good choice with the smallest grip panel. However you may also want to check out HK's 9mm guns, the P30 and the new VP9 the grips on these guns can get extremely small. Thanks for watching.

      Don't worry this gun is NOT all that big I own 2 a V3 and V7 (LEM). I mean to a mid sized Glock 23 or Beretta 92 or Sig P229 and like other said the extra back straps will do you good should you need them which I doubt unless you have like 10yr old sized hands haha jk.

  • @bordersoldier
    @bordersoldier 9 лет назад

    Dude when they say mark 23 they are referring to the sig 226 navy version not the hk mk23

    • @AlabamaArsenal
      @AlabamaArsenal  9 лет назад +4

      bordersoldier Ok just so that you know for future reference let me help you out here. Mk23 is a firearm made by HK civilian model mark 23. MK24 is another firearm made by Hk the closest thing to it in the civilian market is the Hk45 compact tactical. The Mk25 is a firearm made by Sig, a slightly upgraded P226, sold on the civilian market as the P226 Mk25. All guns used by special forces and the user can choose between them based on personal preference or the needs of a particular mission. So when they refer to MK23 they're probably actually referring to a MK23, and if they refer to a MK25 they probably mean a Mk25. Hope this helps, thanks for watching.

      @@RayLaskyOutdoors @TheManYouNeedToBe I'm 6'2 220 lb and I have large hands I fired somebody else's recently and I loved it so much I'm looking into getting my own. It sounds more like you just don't know how to handle a gun. I regularly shoot everything from a full size Beretta 92 with the thick Beretta grips to single stack flat nines that make the HK 45C look like a brick in comparison. If you know what you're doing it's a non-issue. I've even got a tiny antique double action 22 revolver I like to shoot thats the the size of my phone screen they're all perfectly comfortable and controllable if you hold them correctly.

    I hated my usp. Just didn't feel tight at all. For what I paid it just didn't seem all that good. My favorite 9mm is the cz75bd but I love plenty of polymer handguns. GLOCK 40 MOS, SPRINGFIELD XD V10, CZ P01 THREADED, SPHINX SDP, STEYR M9-A1, EAA 10MM POLYMER, S&W SHIELD , ETC, ETC...The usp....fucking sucked! Now I'm very interested in the compact tactical like this one. Hopefully the up in price matches the quality of the gun.
    DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL THE SAME ABOUT THE USP?!?!
    DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH THE COMPACT TACTICAL?

    • @AlabamaArsenal
      @AlabamaArsenal  7 лет назад

      I will say that regular USPs are somewhat lackluster, however if you get one of the upgraded ones , like a match, elite, or tactical they are great guns. Although I can't say that they are necessarily worth what they cost. The Compact Tactical is an improvement and in my opinion as good if not better than the special edition USPs. Although the trigger while good is not like a match trigger. Thanks for watching and please spread the word.

    • @realtywithseankemp9704
      @realtywithseankemp9704 7 лет назад

      Alabama Arsenal it was definitely a regular USP nothing special about it. I would be very interested in purchasing one of these and adding in a match trigger. Thanks for the info I didn't know if anyone else felt the same way I did with their USP kind of disappointing I put that gun up on a pedestal for a long time and then after my experience with it I just sold it right away

  • @oldannyboy37

    From a practical standpoint I can't see any reason to buy this gun.
    9mm with a good load works just fine. Its expensive. It holds way fewer rounds than any of my double stack 9s. I don't like safeties. I'm not a huge fan of H&K's DA/SA trigger...etc.
    On the other hand it's cool as hell and I do actually want one.
