This was not an easy video to make. I really like the drone footage, which others haven’t done in detail. I’m glad you didn’t get injured or in trouble with security people.
Sad, I basically grew up with this mall, I was 14 years old when this legendary facility was open and I remember when I first visited it I was so intimidated by its massive size and as I matured and got used to it and learned my way around I laughed at myself at how could I ever worry about getting lost in this place. In my teen years I used to love going out there with the crowds and looking for girls but again, as I matured, I chose instead to go out there on Sunday mornings, with the elderly folks and enjoying the peace and quiet of the mall. Memories man, what a sad ending for Century 3 Mall...but I'm from Homestead and we have our own brand new legendary landscape with the Waterfront...hoping that as a better history and ending than Century 3!
@ShaunWaveGo I hear you brother, just goes to prove one thing: time stands still for no one or nothing and nothing, absolutely NOTHING...lasts forever. Great video, too!
You were right about the construction people there tearing down the parking garage at Century 3 Mall. The mall is getting demolished, and pretty soon, there will not be Century 3 Mall anymore.
There’s another video showing the interior recently that’s really good, but it’s the first I’ve seen with drone shots! Those are great seeing the true dilapidation of the mall. And the stairs between parking is never shown. Some very unique shots my guy! Great video!
I remember when it was being built, if memory serves me, I believe it was one of the largest malls in United States, so sad to see it barely lasted 40 years.
Don’t get caught. They have cameras setup and security around. West Mifflin police will jam you up if you get caught. I do like what you do. I’m going subscribe to your channel
It’s nothing more than failure to adapt. It was built in a questionable area to begin with. There was essentially next to zero for security. This is what happens when there are volumes of initial investment, and then zero to properly maintain it. A number of other malls are doing just fine all throughout the local area. Want a better example of the death of america? Look no further than Wall Street and a majority of employers
It's very likely the demolition company will crush most or all of the concrete to reuse as road base or similar function. So it's probably not a complete waste.

The colorful place on the mall was Old Mexico.
@@greenievr6 Interesting
When I was a kid it would be hard to find a parking spot there around the holidays. Depressing to see what it has become.
Nice video, nice drone footage
Man, this was the place to be when I was growing up!
your don't lying about that
Sad, before Covid it was a bustling place and it’s gone to waste like this. Thanks for sharing and taking the time to document this

i wish i could get inside to film 🎥
Someone is completely trashing the roof of the mall.
Was there yesterday. They just knocked down part of the upper level garage you were walking on.
@@amuro1701 Glad i was able to film that part, especially the staircase.
Wonder why it closed ?.
High rent for retailers and the owners were delinquent on property taxes.
When did it close?
@@NCC-1700 u believe in 2019 ish. i have details in my description under my video.. 😊
@@ShaunWaveGo just curious, looked abandoned for a long time
JC Penney and Dicks were the only stores left when it closed. Dicks left first, then JC Penney.

Yeah they’re mentally insane.
What an expensive massive undertaking just to end up in the landfill. Good example of our dying country.
