Even though this is a parody, I love the fact that Sonic and Tails friendship was respected and shown in such a wholesome, way instead of being compleatly buchered or done out right creepy like many parodies tend to do.

Yeah, this is very accurate and it can be seen in Sonic Adventure 1 when you play as Tails.
Tail's story in SA1 is built around this, it's more optimal to fly straight to the target than it is trying to follow along with Sonic
I love how he treats Tails like both a Child and his equal, being grateful to him and not "using" him like a lot of Parody videos tend to do.
In other words, he treats Tails like a little brother.
Tails is basically the P2 little brother.

I think the best thing about this was that while Mario was a comedic sociopath as a speed demon, the actual speedster is treated as being kind, thoughtful, and heroic- while still abusing his speed to cheese the game.

I adore the friendlier and sillier personality of the protagonists here. Sonic actually being a respecting mentor to tails who understands that he is still prone to making mistakes due to his young age is fresh to see. It was starting to get tiring seeing sonic bully and maim tails on the daily.

I don't know, to a degree I guess. Sonic is meant to characterized as a "hedgehog with an attitude" in that he actually mean to be pretty edgy and agressive in a hip and trendy way as oppose to Shadow's dark and serious way. And there's plenty of occurrences where Sonic has acted like a dickish douche bag, like in the ova he did scream shut up to tails. Even though he does care deeply about him. And I like that
Personally, I'm not fan of sonic being overtly friendly and wholesome just for the sake of it. Character integrity and constitency is way better than short term wholesomeness.

"an attitude" doesn't mean being a dickhead to everyone around you..
My favourite thing about these animations is despite being a parody, you depict Sonic as a total bad ass character and regularly show him at his actual potential, rather than having him fail for ‘plot reasons’. It’s a surprisingly accurate depiction throughout and it always catches me off guard.

I love how the relationships are maintained in a very pure and pristine manner, but also the gags going between fast paced, fast character, slow movements and going for general character development. Or, well, character relationships.
What I liked most was how the sign post gag used a very old rocket sound I recognized from, well, old Roblox. Oh, and casually chilling Super Sonic just ignoring a laser beam and a robotic version of himself just casually breaking apart on him.
i love how terminalmontage is one of the only people who portray sonic correctly. he’s almost indestructible and can clearly defeat eggman in like, 3 seconds.

@@implosive4778you're right, the thing is that they get pretty tiring by having the same trope in majority of parodies that becomes pretty expected.
I still enjoy how not only is this a parody to a great game but also how it feels like a callback to the old Sonic cartoons back in the 90s. From Sonic’s personality, to Sonic and Tails relationship, to Eggman even saying the I hate that Hedgehog line it truly feels like a very special tribute.
Not to mention his design is an amalgamation of the classic and cartoon designs
now all we need is a "sonic says" bit from terminal and his iteration of sonic would be more than perfect!

There is so much that I love about this animation! Not only is it hilarious, but I love so much how it doesn't force itself as funny through the tired violent tropes that I remember from a lot of videos (and I never once liked it, even in 2012). No, this is just genuinely downright hilarious! Not to mention Robotnik's voice acting is absolutely on point! And Tails' laugh is so so cute! What a great parody.

What I have always loved about the "Something About" series is that while it is obviously a parody with some liberties taken I can still show these cartoons to anyone and confidently say that they are mostly accurate.

Despite Tails being depicted (in most cases, not saying this is one of them) as a sidekick, or sometimes the very definition of one, I absolutely love how Sonic in this animation treats him in more of a guiding-hand-holding way while still letting him help out where he can. In my eyes, what makes a great sidekick is the kind of person who always tries their hardest to have your back, and is willing to learn from their partner on how to improve, or can help them in a way that they couldn't accomplish alone.
Also, TerminalMontage, you a real one for including that Monkey Ball easter egg (3:43). Thanks for that.

I like the fact when eggman shouts out "THE DEATH EGG," even tough the subtitles is custom, I like the fact on how there is the TM in the name.
The fact that Terminal took the time to animate Eggy throwing *every member* of the Mecha Sonic line at Super Sonic instead of just Mk. 1 says a LOT about how much he commits to the bit, what a madlad.
i just appreciate Eggman's determination. He kept coming back even though he was being completely obliterated at every single encounter.

Jeremey(terminalmontage) did a good job portraying the wholesome sibling vibe of Sonic and Tails, Eggman's genuine evil hatred of Sonic, and Sonic just having a fun time getting the chaos emeralds, having Tails by his side, all while defeating eggman cuz it's in his nature to have fun as a free spirited being
I appreciate that Eggman feels less like he’s _inherently_ a joke, and more that Sonic is just so incredibly good at his job that he makes Eggman INTO a hilarious joke. For most people, this villain would be a bit of a pain to deal with. For sonic, it’s his lunch break

You know, I genuinely love your design for sonic, its just so sImple, compact and cute, and despite a lot of the characters being presented with deadpan, thousand mile stares (which I love by the way, its so damn funny), they are able to be SO GOD DAMN EXPRESSIVE.
You have absolutely perfectly encapsulated the kid-brother relationship between Sonic and Tails while keeping true to the chaotic energy of the Something About series. Hats off to you, this is such a love letter not just to Sonic 2 but everything Sonic (I especially loved hearing music from the Advance games play)
