The part that blows me away is how Mica can bring his left leg back (on it's on) from closed guard so far back (1:33 of the vid).....I understand flexibility, but he can power it back there in a way that I just don't know how you learn or can be taught....he can get over the shoulder in such a way that I wish I could. I also think its awesome that Magid posts this...we learn so much from our defeats...its a true champ to do this on a public forum and go through the mistakes, the right moves and compliment both yourself and your opponent. Cheers.
Thanks for the breakdown. Mica is the biggest phenom IMO since Marcelo Garcia. No dis to anyone else, Gordon, etc. but Gordon doesnt compete in gi AND gi like this kid. This dude is impressive and I cant wait to see how ADCC goes. There are some absolute monsters in the 77KG class with him. Did you get an invite / are you in there too??
@@MatthewMuellerr its not a fashion thing its for saftey and fairness. Loose clothes and pockets can catch and trap fingers and arms and interfere with the match.
@@MatthewMuellerr It's not fashion. Rashguards look gay as hell. It's because hands and feet get snagged in baggy clothes. Same reason wearing shorts with pockets is a no no.
This is a just hilariously stupid myth ,tens of thousands jiu jitsu, judo, Sambo guys world wide wear huge indestructible gi’ jackets and grapple every day. Yet your afraid a flimsy sweat soaked t-shirt with almost slack will somehow get wrapped your fingers and have the strength to Damage them?? If they were a hinderence to your opponent they’d be more popular. They are still legal this was a trials match.. that said through the 90s 2000 2010 s people wore tshirts to adcc royler werdum xande Leo veira Galvao Jeff glover jacare machado etc etc the list of t-shirt wearin big shots is pretty insane but Nobody got injured. loads of people wore em in training … i don’t know who popularized this´it’s dangerous’ but the dangerous part is crap .. not liking T-shirt’s in training for other reasons Is fine btw. They do get nasty sweaty after a hour so you might not want them to become popular

Thanks for the breakdown. It's a nice dilemma to reach in to remove the guillotine arm, which leaves you open to the triangle.

Keeping it real 🤙
Keenan has the best triangle defense that I have seen by far.
🔥
Deserved the L for wearing a baggy t-shirt and shorts with pockets

Well, if you can wear a t-shirt and you prefere to wear a t-shirt, do it.
