My problem with this whole thing is that I got deactivated when I didn't even know what GPS spoofing was at the time. I never had any apps that could fake my location while doing Uber but they accused me of doing it on October 24th and November 7th (both of those are Sundays if that matters). I never even got a notification saying I should stop doing whatever I was doing. I don't know if it was my car doing it or the 5G data for my phone or something else but it really bothers me because that was my only source of income.
They know about everything, except for these third party rides. Tired of seeing my star average drop because I pick up a Dr's client for their appt, and they just slap a 3 or 4 star rating without actually experiencing my service...
I'm going to look into 3rd party riders. Like people using their uber app for rides for clients, friends etc. It goes against terms and leaves the driver and 3rd party riders insuranceless because broke ln agreement to terms. So if a accident were to occur, uber will not cover the driver nor 3rd party rider. I try to avoid 3rd party riders as much as possible if I'm able to find out before starting ride. I totally agree with you bud, I hate it when dr.,dentist gets ubers for their patients, they are always rude and bitch about the route. Lol avoid 3rd parties at all cost especially the throw up prone ones lol
Thanks for the video. I just need a mock location to see the amount of drivers waiting in the queue, as with Lyft I'm too far to see it without driving the 30 minutes to get in range. It would be nice if Lyft would allow me to see queue from far out but nope, and it seems there are no 3rd party apps for my area (yet).
Wow! The more I hear about driving for Uber, the less I want to even try it! Not from your video so much but from the comments talking about drivers cheating other drivers out of business! Between Uber lowering pay and other drivers cheating, it seems like a real risky proposition!

So u need to do the same dont take there word on anything use ur brain and do the math and do what's rite for u its ur biz not ubers. And most drivers r honest there r a bunch that r out there trying to beat the system some from day one but i feel most r doing in response to how ubers been treating us and there fed up with it so now there trying to get over. I couldnt do that I guess I wasn't raised that way so when rates got to low that I felt wasn't worth my time I stopped driving. Can u make money yes as much as used to no. All depends what u need to earn and what u feel ur time is worth. That answers different for everyone. Only way to find out is to try. Only advice is dont go out and by a car. If u dont have one use one of there programs so if u feel not worth it ur not stuck.
Fast Pup Dog Training: There are more than one way to cheat, also people that takes more riders that seat belts available, taking rides outside the app, allowing drinking/open containers... All of that takes from other drivers and also puts more pressure on them to do illegal stuff, if you refuse they will rate you poorly or they will cancel on you more often as soon as they see who is picking them up.
I know I would like to use one but not for fraud. I just what to open the app and have the map show my spoof location and then auto-take screenshots to try to track surges without going online. The problem I see with that is my tab would be at home with the spoof location and I would be online with my phone at the real location which might get me flagged even though I'm not trying to get rides from the spoof tab.
There are states such as NYC & NV that require more than just a sign up & drive with UBER/LYFT to drive. You have to have a state license as well as pay fee's. So I doubt you could go to city's/states like those two and just start driving. I don't think the app would let you unless those requirements are fulfilled and or on file with UBER/LYFT.

I think a warning is fair to these drivers, even for those who are cheating the system, mainly because so many drivers have adopted rogue ways to make rideshare work for them, it's sad but a lot of people are just looking for an edge to get ahead. There's no driver training. No adequate support. No tips. Goodness, people come into Uber on a hope and prayer that they can make a decent living on this app so they are already at a disadvantage, and that stress and sometimes sheer desperation is bound to give way to cheats, tricks and schemes to compete and make money. Now, I'd never do that, because of my values, for fear of getting caught and having other means of income, but I know people who are looking for that next come up at all times to make ends meet. Once they've been warned and they are still up to no good, I think I termination is warranted.
Yes it is sad that drivers have to utilize tactics or strategies like this on the flip side of that pancake Uber does it but yet they want to try to dictate to us what we shouldn't do with our own devices vehicle, smartphones, if they don't want us to do that then they need to issue us an Uber or Lyft phone heck start doing that guess what they might as well just classify us as an employee. fake gps still works for postmates and they haven't fixed it for years. motocycle mode to see bigger orders even tho you don't have a motocycle cause they don't check your vehicles, apk editor still works,
Here is one totally legit reason for doing this. In my case, the GPS on my Android phone just doesn't reliably work anymore. Turn-by-turn navigation is often useless as a result. So I bought a Bluetooth GPS receiver (Garmin GLO 2) to help this. For whatever reason, Android phones seem to require a third-party GPS app in order to connect the GPS to the phone. And the GPS apps are accurate only when "Mock Locations" are enabled. I have no other reason to want to "fake" my location. I am NOT out to screw over other drivers! I just want to use my external GPS while driving for Uber so that I can use navigation. Ok - I could buy a new phone with a better internal GPS. But that can be serious $$$, and my current phone is fine except for this one thing.
A bit late, but you can buy lots of used devices for cheap without this issue. You can get some serious discounts if the screen is slightly cracked too. You will have to put a sim in it though, maybe swap from your main phone to work phone or something, or do WiFi hotspot from your main phone and keep it in your pocket but that takes up lots of battery, or you can just put an offline map on another phone, but it only does car directions. I've seen working phone such as the Google pixel 1 that are just in a somewhat rough, but acceptable condition sell for like $30 Inc shipping. It's a old flagship, so it's still running Android 10, which is a good version, it has a good camera if you care and it's decently fast and it certainly doesn't have GPS issues, but battery might be a little worn out, so a power source like power bank is required.
Yes it's wrong to driverd sitting at airport allday waiting but its a good idea at same time if they can find a benifical way to use it.like if there's an hour wait at airport getting on list and head over there stop for gas get somthing to eat ect. It will alow drivers to maximize there time. There's no reason if wait one hour or more u need to sit there when u can be doing other things. Just this way is wrong uber needs to incorporate it in to app wit rules to make it fair for all. Like u can put ur self in line at airport from home or IHOP lol when there's a long wait but if ur not phisically there when its under 30 min or 15 min u get bumped to end of the line.
The Rideshare Guy upside apps r wrong but they should incorporate it in the app its great idea. And not not all airports have have it some still go to closest driver which is wrong. Like at newark airport for example its illegal to sit in pick up area but its packed with Ride share drivers cause ride goes to closest driver so drivers following rules get penalized. Also driver could be waiting for an hour and another driver pulls up drops off someone gets call. Also drivers pack in the beginning of pick up area so if u pull to the end were there r no drivers if someone comes out that door u get the call even though other drivers have been there along time just because of 100 feet. I've questioned them on it and they never give me straight answer usually send me to link of ny airports and were there waiting area is even though nj drivers can't pick up there only drop off. I wish they would get people who can help and give straight answer. Its like they want u to give up and not get answer so they don't have to admit miss information. Plus one person can't help u. They ask question u respond someone else gets ur response and doesn't read original question and responds to ur answer with info unrelated to question. Very disfunctional system. They need to start by hiring professional drivers to work the help desk. They should offer the job to drivers that get deactivated cause of tickets or accident or retired whatever it may be but they have knowledge and will understand question. Current ppl usually have no clue and look for response thats pregenerated by uber but they never pick rite one. We can get deactivated for bad ratings how bout we rate them .sorry went off topic I'm tired of ubers bs. It started out great but keeps getting worse. Now I got a car that has payments and lots of miles. I wish I new they could cut rates and stuff. Cause my math was based on original numbers and money was good made double car payments to alot for high miles than rates got cut multiple times doesn't work no more so I stopped driving. I'm worse off now than before uber. I had a car fully payed for only had 65000 miles on it. Now I have 400 dollar a,month car payment and a car with 100000 miles on it. Really mad with uber rite now but still cone on these sites hoping to help that new driver so they dont get screwed by misinformation. If I had that info I woukdbt of bought a new car. Would of used the car I had. But the numbers at the time it made sense car woukdve been paid off in 2 to 3 years by doubling up one day a week covered this and ins. One day covered maintance and taxes. The rest of week was my pay 3 or 4 days 250 a day wasn't bad at all. Less than 6 mo later 25 percent rate cut. Now I could make double payments and still pay my reg bills and support family. But still did good just gonna take longer to pay car but than another rate cut and didnt work anymore. Uber needs to be honest up front. Prob is they dont care bout employee turn over like most big company's do they actually do better with turnover cause new drivers pay higher commission. Sorry again for turning this into bitch session. Love how u n uber man made a bussiness out if this thst goes beyond driving.

But had to keep driving cause of mortgage car note whatever case and taking the hit hoping to find somthing else and worrie bout expenses later cause no other choose. Have u thought bout delivery for a resturant and catering type place. I finaly was able to leave uber for delieving and I'm making more money and logging a third the miles yesterday I made 180 in 9 hours and I only did 100 miles and that was on a wed. Thurs thru sun I avg like 30 per hour. I'm not talking pizza place I'm talking place with decent prices and catering. Im at a rib place. Best decision I made. I'm starting to catch back up but I'm stuck wit car note from getting new car for uber when I had just finished paying off my last car but couldnt use for uber that was worst decision ever made would've been good if rates stayed were they started and didnt drop 3 times in 18 month's. Ubers destroying ppl lives I know 3ppl who had cars reppoed and 1 filed bankruptcy. Fuck uber. Good luck

Another big problem is uber queue bag. You can drop out of the queue other drivers and move your self further in the queue.

You don't need a state DMV license, what you DO need is the TLC license and a vehicle with commercial insurance.
