I ain’t gonna lie, I thought part 2 as a whole was much better than part 1. The ending was something I did not see coming and personally, I didn’t like how it ended…now I don’t know how it will end in part 3 but we shall see!

I don't understand the complaint that the Miyagi storyline undermines the movies. Miyagi was at a low point in his life. His wife and child were dead. It is likely that his experience at this tournament shaped his views later in life.
It definitely feels like S5 should have been the finale, but im still having fun. I like that John Kreese got humbled again. He thought he could walk in and improve Master Kim’s dojo. But clearly he made Kwon too much of a hot head. Brought more shame to Cobra Kai

My main problem with P2 is that Hawk, Demetri, Devon and Kenny literally did nothing in the actual tournament except for the tag thing, each character should have had a moment to shine even if it was small
Devon sorta had a moment when she through herself with her opponent as a sacrifice in the platform match. but other than that I think most of their moments were more on the emotional scene side and during the episode 10 brawl. Not disagreeing though, they could have had more moments.

Breaking Bad and Sopranos split their final seasons. If people don't know, they aren't paying attention or Netflix isn't advertising enough. Given that Cobra Kai is all over my Netflix feed, I don't think it's the latter.
Just a word on the "Where was the Police during this televised brawl?" - from me who works in the Emergency Services in the UK (still Europe) - and what we're dealing with here is 50 plus trained martial artists effectively invovled in a large riot inside a building. It's merely a question of resources and in my line of work whenever I've had to attend a riot inside a structure the first goal is to secure the outside and create a perimeter. Looking at the time this probably had just about been achieved by the time Kwon was killed. To go in and actually control that and hte fact that the'yre effectively children who have potentially lethal tools the resources required to deal with that safely and effectively would have had to be quite a lot and you can't have the sheer numbers required to arrive at a moments notice. That's the reality of it! I've attended such disturbances in Prison and the staging process before actually going in to physically intervene can be a few hours.... Plus using tear gas on kids whilst footage is being live streamed isn't going to look good. You'd have had Police commanders already monitoring the live stream as soon as they got word that it was going off. I know Cobra Kai is over the top, it's why we love it and discuss it but that lack of intervention during the brawl was highly believable. One tactic the police have in their arsenal is to watch, evidence gather and let it just burn itself out. I don't think anyone was expecting anyone to get killed.

Robby is so fixated on tory as she's the only one who's truly understood him. That's why he was so distracted. Miguel needs a comeback. Hawk and Dimitri are back. Kenny is back. Sam is doing her best. I still feel the thing that will help them survive this whole thing is the secret Daniel is looking for. Also. You missed the biggest question of them all WHO WILL TAKE DOWN AXEL? Mans got no weaknesses. Lastly the death really means that this is the real world and shit happens....

It was so good, watched it at 4ish this morning. Hadn’t been this hyped since season 3 and haven’t enjoyed it this much since RUclips red days. Suspension of disbelief is essential at this point especially after the fights in seasons 2,3,&5. My ranking so far would be S1- 9.5/10 S2- 9/10 S3- 6/10 S4- 7.5/10 S5- 5.5/10 S6- 8.25/10 (p1- 7.5/10 p2- 8.75/10) Also, Robby is goated and gets better every episode. Spoiler: Which kid would’ve been great to take Kwons place?

The writers have been successful throughout all of the seasons, of making me wince and / or grit my teefs whenever Sam talks, cuz I just don’t care for her as a character. 😅🤷🏻♂️ Her moment on the beach with the terminator was alright though… 😏
Part 2 was super fun but the brawl and how it started was the goofiest shit I’ve seen in a while I wanted them to focus mainly on what karate kid set up for the story of the characters and best fighters The only other thing I can complain about is how the tournament is formatted, I wanted to see more 1v1 and 2v2 fighting rather than a point system, idk if I’m just complaining to complain but other wise I loved the first 4 episodes and the first 15 min of the 5th episode but the ending was to goofy for me
I thought nothing could get darker than the season 2 finale but here we are. Although season 2 finale got me more because I cared about those characters. I don’t really care for Kwon too much. Not to mention he tried to murder someone and it backfired. In the school fight, Miguel paid the price for doing the right thing. Here, Kwon paid the price for doing the wrong thing.

I'm surprised that you're surprised by the lack of police interference when there was no police interference in the school fight scene in season 2. I'm not trying to be a troll. I suppose it would have taken a while for that many police to have mobilized for a brawl that epic. Not sure what ordinary security would have been able to do; probably limited man and woman power. I was definitely wondering much more where the police were in season 2 of the school fight than in this fight.
Good points. The brawl barely got started, lasted a little over 15 minutes. Mobilization would have to come from different precincts, organization would take even more time, so guesstimate about 20 minutes for each.
This part 2 is a let down for me. After all the build up in Part 1, they are still building it up in Part 2 and the other side plots were a distraction.

Netflix is ridiculous money grabbing selfish people Netflix used to be so cool. I shouldn’t be saying this as an actor but as a fan of TV shows and movies it’s ridiculous. They’re just trying to get more subscriptions. That’s why they divide it so you can stay on the subscription and not cancel it. The real magic was in the first few episodes of the series, watching Ace Degenerate Johnny find meaning in his life. What follows is as stated "rinse and repeat" formula, teenage melodrama and cool fights. I did enjoy every season, but yeah it was just a good show, not as meaningful as the original KK film or the first few episodes of the series.
I thought the big brawl was cringy. Roided up sensei knocks out the director and tells everyone to fight? And everyone actually fights? Do any of these dojos have honor? But the ending made up for the cringe of the brawl.

Be the consequences of that every movie who sexualizes murders or makes kids murderers or be groomed and tv shows and series never does well afterwards due to them doing what they did … and what is sad for me speaking for myself here is I almost left watching this part 2 saying damn I didn’t hate any part of this then they at the end make us watch a teenage boy get brutally butchered….. did it for me ….. for the obvious reasons there was several adults …. They chose a kid to get murdered .

@ teens and kids should not be murdered on tv . When kids are groomed sexualized murdered or made to play murderers on tv for me and others I’m sure … that’s a line that should not be crossed …. Meaning done … for kids they should make them fight that’s it … adults if they want to have them sexually or other types of assaulted murdered being murderers caught on fire sexualized whatever that is fine but when u talk about young men women girls boys that’s where I have a problem … it disturbed me seeing a young boy butchered lying on the floor coughing up blood … that’s a scene that should be a adult doing not a child

Come on now it was inevitable this was going to happen at some point, also the sekai tekai has had deaths happen in it before this it’s a brutal tournament. Whether you like it or not cobra kai is not a childs show, he didnt exactly get butchered either what a ridiculous statement.
