It's crazy how you can summon like a billion 8/8s and the opponent can easily deal with that. Modern HS is weird. Kinda miss when Yeti was considered good
I run Yeti in my midrangeish token druid that relies more on solid Oaken Summons pulls and the overall ridiculously good package of druid cards (UI, Nourish, Wrath, Wild Growth, etc.), because I don't have a second Injured Blademaster and it stings less if I draw him before I draw Oaken. And hey, right now we have a meta where Raid Leader is in a tier 1 deck.
I just literally posted the example of Odd Paladin, the aforementioned tier 1 deck and one of the best ladder climbers, which runs Raid Leader, and some lists run Stormwind Champion as well. On top of that, Stonetusk Boar was a staple of Quest Rogue (still is, but after the double-whammy nerf it's unlikely people will still run it), Murloc decks (Murloc Mage and Priest are both archetypes that see increasing popularity) tend to run Bluegill Warrior and Murloc Tidehunter. If we stretch your definition of vanilla minions to include basic class cards, then there's Voidwalker and Houndmaster, both still played in Zoo Warlock and some Midrange Hunter lists respectively. Northshire Cleric is played in every single Priest deck to ever exist, I'm pretty sure, and that's Basic as well.
Someone I mean, Control Mage is a deck designed specifically to board clear endlessly, so it isn't that weird. Technically mage always was able to do it with Blizzard and Frost Nova.
Those are not vanilla minions though. I don't think you understand what the word means. Minions that literally do nothing but give you a reasonable statline are vanilla minions, and they are not worth running.
Overload is still a pretty poor mechanic. They should at least let you put your unused mana crystals to use automatically undoing the overloaded ones for next turn.
I love how kibler just plays it off when someone doesnt know about his background in magic the gathering. Those aren't mousepads, those are game mats. Its not wrong of them to not know that, but its funny to see the dragonmaster kinda cringe on the inside lol.
Heh. Except when Kibler (and myself) were playing magic they didn't have those kinda mats. I remember using one of the paper ones from a starter kit . A lot of people did the same. Plus fancy sleeves for the cards you had in deck at the time and cheaper plastic ones for protecting them when outta the deck. If I remember correctly, those kinda game mats were first heavily used for Yu-Gi-Oh. But I digress....got a little nostalgic there on ya. Sorry. But I did agree that he might have died a little on the inside when asked.
paladonis Kibler STILL plays magic so it's wholly inaccurate to say that "when he played magic" they didn't have those mats. I mean even just competitively speaking, these mats were around in 2012 when he won the Honolulu pro tour.
True. True. I guess I could say "In his hayday", "In his youth", "During his rise to the top". Honestly, was more reminiscing then anything. It does make me wonder if he played where I used to play in Mission Valley "Wizards of the Coast" in the mid 90's though.
I made a deck like this before Witchwood. Very fun. Used the recruit lady to pull Drakkari big shield taunt guy but then wanted to make a few tweaks. Held it's own against pre-nerf cubelock. Will probably make it again
That game kind of highlights the weakness of this deck in the meta though. Look at how many 8/8s the Big Mage was able to deal with before finally being overwhelmed. If not for some good RNG on Kibler’s part, he would have run out of steam despite executing the full combo.
BryanTerran This goes to show that freeze is the most powerful effect in Hearthstone. Being able to stall the game for so long was the only way the mage managed to survive before getting outvalued badly.
Blitzdactyl It’d be interesting if there was a tech card with the battlecry: Unfreeze all minions. Might be too powerful an anti-Blizzard/Frost Nova tech though.
If I correctly counted, that was around 25 8/8 giants for 0 mana that had a batltecry "gain a spell". upwards of 26 to 28 if he upgraded the spellstone at the end. More if he kept getting spellstones or spirit echoes or ancestral spirits. And that Mage deck board-cleared what, twenty of them? I don't know which is crazier.
I don't what is the most impressive: the insane giant value Kibler gets or the mage being able to hold on against a army of 8/8 for a dozen of turns xd
I think the best part is that only rogue's with vanish and priests with psychic scream are the only hard counters to this deck but I personally don't see many priests or rogue's with vanish
It looked like the opponent had all the standard removal he needed when he needed it, but it just wasn't enough. I'm not saying it is unfair but damn it looks so unfair.
Taking my Baku 512 warrior club deck, I adjusted it to mage. It had a very good win rate. Tried the same in hunter but still cannot find a good synergy, I think hunter shines in teh even club, because it allows constant hero power weaving, with even costs. The deck can be tweaed quitea bit, the cubes are to double the hero power accelerator, but I found I could eat aggro decks like rogue and or other decks, becasue of its early, and does push a plus 50 against ele mage. So decks that may interest you, is the banker molten giant deck, feed moltens back into your deck and then pound their face for 100% 25 damage. Or bankers and the double hero power, with recruit in warrior and dorrian can unleash a double double double and allow for an easy 64-128 damage with quest warrior in a turn. :D ### Custom Mage # Class: Mage # Format: Standard # Year of the Raven # # 1x (1) Arcane Artificer # 2x (1) Arcane Missiles # 2x (1) Breath of Sindragosa # 2x (1) Mana Wyrm # 2x (3) Arcane Intellect # 2x (3) Black Cat # 2x (3) Blackwald Pixie # 2x (3) Cinderstorm # 2x (3) Coldwraith # 2x (3) Stonehill Defender # 2x (5) Carnivorous Cube # 2x (5) Clockwork Automaton # 1x (5) Deck of Wonders # 1x (5) Dollmaster Dorian # 1x (7) Archmage Antonidas # 2x (7) Flamestrike # 1x (9) Baku the Mooneater # 1x (9) Ysera # AAECAf0EBrgIogmg0wKW5ALC8QKe+AIMlQOrBLQE7AebwgLUzgLu0wKL4QL77ALl7wLP8gK9+gIA # # To use this deck, copy it to your clipboard and create a new deck in Hearthstone
How can a literal avalanche giant get frozen? Uninstalled.

I just love when my opponents play 8/8s that summon 8/8s when they die and also give 0 mana 8/8s that give spells to make more 8/8s.
Lorewalker Choo M. D. Same it just shows how balanced the game is
and those 8/8 ALSO GIVE YOU A SPELL TO SUMMON MORE 8/8s and a heal for tons of HP spell
infinite loop them
And the best thing is.
I can clear them super easy with just two things.
saoud saoud well since this deck isn't good at all in the meta, it is kinda balanced

Why would anyone run a vanilla minion in the year 2018 when crazy combos, synergies and whatnot are the only way to win

Mage in this game: "How long can this go on?"
"Free me!"
The Brian, the Witch, and the Overload
Well played
Overload Shaman is a thing, God help us all.
ramonestefano I played this deck like a year ago, and of course I disenchanted the cards recently lol
he made a video on omnislash a few weeks ago with his first version of this deck and it was doing pretty well.
We've come full circle with overload shaman. No troggs this time.
Better than sudderwock, Blizzard should work on overload deck than battlecry bullshit.
Overload is still a pretty poor mechanic. They should at least let you put your unused mana crystals to use automatically undoing the overloaded ones for next turn.
"We'll play a giant"
The attack on titan song was in my head during the entire video
scott devnull ikr? The same for me lol.
spoiler, the titans win

And to think I once thought Giants Rogue was a lot of giants...
CarpeGuitarrem You have never seen echo of medivh giants / naga giants?
Even DK jaina is weak to winter. Lol.
the frost lich vs the eternal snowfury.
"i concede to your power" indeed.
It's confirmed, Kibler is conspiring with RNGesus
7:25 prophet moment
all the time. Kibler summons the cards he wants to draw
anyone count the number of snowfury giants summoned?
well done on your deck building. i never thought of this, very sick.
I made a deck like this before Witchwood. Very fun. Used the recruit lady to pull Drakkari big shield taunt guy but then wanted to make a few tweaks. Held it's own against pre-nerf cubelock. Will probably make it again
Kibler's laughter cured my cancer
such a cool game when I saw you play this deck I knew I had to make it right away

That is already a card, albeit in wild, wailing soul silences all of your other minions
brandon everett, I'm going to try that but the only problem is it silences the resurrects on the giants but sounds fun :D
if it's lethal it's ok i guess

insane snowball effect
That was a real pleasure to watch
7:51 LMAO that laugh is everything x'D
This guys laugh is just like the best, most sandiest laugh ever
I don't what is the most impressive: the insane giant value Kibler gets or the mage being able to hold on against a army of 8/8 for a dozen of turns xd
winter is coming in the middle of summer. i like to call that swinter lol
Kibbler: why cant I hold all this VALUE??? :D
Kibler giggling like a little girl got me laughing so hard i truly love his content 😂❤
This deck is so fun. I think it’s even viable as a tournament option because hagatha just keeps on giving.
I still find the fact that upgraded sapphire spellstone looks like omegalul funny
This deck looks sweet! I wonder how it stands up against other meta decks
This deck is really fun to watch
Christ, that game was really something special
its nice to see an overload meta deck
12:45 like how kibler understands how copy & freeze work. krip was crying about this a few days ago.
07:36 the legend.
Jaina trying to fight off an avalanche with an icicle
Great video always enjoy it watching them.
dude your laugh is contagious i need help
I think the best part is that only rogue's with vanish and priests with psychic scream are the only hard counters to this deck but I personally don't see many priests or rogue's with vanish
This game was buck wild.
Snow Fury Giants should be 'cannot be frozen' because think about it. How would that work?
These spellstones really loves kibler lol
awesome deck dude
I love this deck so much
7:32 lol I CRIED..
I WANT TO HAVE FUN IN HEARTHSTONE TOO
That deck looks dam funnn! Im just missing hagatha though :(
Was anyone Counting how many Snowgolems that was? I lost count at the absurd amount there was.
23 Giants on board. 2 Giants + Spellstone in hand at the and
That was nuts!
Damn, Kibler looks so stressed. I hope he's just tired or otherwise ok.
I saw the game at Omni/ but it's always fun to watch you play XD
The Witch and the Lich.
Spectacular.
Kibler got some guns on him..kappa pride?:)
Too sweet indeed
Did anyone count how many giants were played?
Oh I rather play against this Shaman and lose everytime than dealin with Shudderwock..
Yeah right "spilled" *wink wink*
Good shaman deck
Witch version of this deck is better?
PS: Winter is truly coming, and not even frost lich Jaina can withstand it lmao
Natalie the Witch, Brian the Prophet?
This was dirty!
That was obscene Keibler... Lol
Papa Bless
Yo Dawg I heard you like Giants!
it's so traumatic, you keep killing 8/8's and they keep coming back
Good video
More overload shaman yo
EPIC!
Should of added a giant counter.
VALUE OVERWHELMING
Overlul'd
I remember a time when people said random shaman spells weren't going to be good :/
This deck is incredibly fun to play and feels exactly how a control shaman should feel
Not that shudderwock garbage
Hagata the infinit giant snow
Shaman is luv.
Nice
It looked like the opponent had all the standard removal he needed when he needed it, but it just wasn't enough. I'm not saying it is unfair but damn it looks so unfair.
Gg well play
i played overload shaman a way ago and guess what, i made the deck by my own.
The only way to overpower control mage. Just keep throwing stuff to die over and over again.
turns out summoning 8/8 is better then summoning 3/6 guys.
B-e-a-utiful
Deck code? c: (I can see on the side the deck you're playing but then I know properly what I have and what I don't)
just Internet search it. Not hard to find.
gr8 video m8. i r8 8/8
Kibler i love u
Better than sudderwock
Deck code?
*Agatha* 💖
NOTIFICATION SQUAD WHERE YOU AT
I think you played arround 30 Snowfury Giants
23 lol
FelTadeu you actually counted them?
yes, I was curious. lol
FelTadeu 23 played or summoned?
Played, resummoned, etc.
14:20. Hahaha
Op op
Honestly I'd have been pretty salty to be that mage. Kibler's RNG of life was stupidly one sided.
How much can one man lust for blood?
