Hey girl! Thanks for your videos! I'm about to start my 1st semester of the respiratory care program at my community college this fall. I'm beyond excited!! Can you make a video about your clinical experiences? What you brought supply-wise. How your preceptors were...did they let you do a lot, or did you just shadow, did they explain things, or did you have to speak up to get the experience you needed? Was there a checklist of things you had to complete/try? Did you get a lot of hands-on with a variety of ventilators? What was your experience like with peds/nicu clinicals? What was your favorite experience? What was the hardest moment? When YOU become a preceptor someday, what will you do differently or the same for your students?
Been Studying with Kettering Study Guide for 2 Months now. Doing the modules, and audio list while writing down important material especially high rated sections that appear on the test frequently. I'm an airman currently in my 2nd Phase of Respiratory Care. Only been a part of the program for 7 months now I take my TMC in 5 Months. We ARE REQUIRED to get the High Cut Score on TMC and immediately afterwards, we are required to take CSE and pass that to become an RRT. It is a High Accelerated program that the Air Force is offering (Still currently) and It has given me the opportunity to be a student within the Hospital near my base and to experience real world situations involving respiratory care. Been thinking about doing videos chronicling my experience and advice throughout my schooling.
Yes you should! I'm shipping out in Feb for the same AFSC and I wish there were more vlogs about how it is at fort sam. Hoping you got thru and passed. Does the af cover all books and material you need for school?

Hi Alaina, thank you for the video! Much appreciated, I have a quick question. Do you know if the TMC is an adaptive test meaning if you answer a question correctly, will the next question be a harder question, or if you answer a question incorrectly will the next question be easier? All I have seen is that the test will determine objectively your level of knowledge. If it an adaptive test then definitely you are correct taking mock exams is the best way to go. Again thank you.

Thank you for sharing. My whole class ordered Kettering at the same time, and also fell apart. Kettering did send us another copy no charge.

When I got ny books I took them apart and put it in a binder with the book cover in the front lol we were warned they'd fall apart

I passed my tmc the first try and NEVER TOOK PRACTICE EXAMS. I’m currently studying for my CSE.

I don’t believe it was too much from first semester but there is definitely some
Kettering has been garbage for me. I have failed my tmc a few times using Kettering
I guess it doesn’t work for everyone. Just keep going you got this!

I would say about 4. I started it when I was about to graduate then did a month out of school and took my test. If I remember correctly
