I think you might be confused with the other guy which was Just Some Guy with a Mustache.
Dropping this after the "Infinite 100%" episode is either a brilliant marketing move or an exceptional coincidence. But anyways, the cover is a certified banger regardless.
It must have been decided they would release at the end of the arc. Not only it feels fitting, but gives a chance for the non-manga readers to notice this song is Mirio's arc in a nutshell.

Either Mirio's quirk or Deku's life, it can work for both. Feels more for Mirio because he's the one who ends up sacrificing the most recent by the end, or at least that's how I see it

@@warrxnt Except Deku didn't even need to go 100% just to touch him. I'm sure half of that would've been enough considering how one sided it was with 100%... and that's part of why this fight felt disappointing to me. Deku barely even fights Chisaki before it turns into a one-sided slaughter on Deku's part. It felt like this whole arc only really existed to show us what Deku at his strongest could look like and to introduce Eri. But anyway, he had to go 100% literally just because Eri's power would've killed him if he didn't.

2 years later after this cover was posted i gotta say, the lyrics really are a masterclass in translating the original meaning while still fitting the beat of the song, i was listening to this right alongside the original and these lyrics are damn near one to one with the original japanese and yet still fitting with the song's rhythm and beat. As expected from studio yuraki!

I think this may be a foreshadowing from the manga or just a fan art. I don't think its gran torinos i think its his own cape tho
