  • On the 1st of June 2022 I went down to Xanadu in Margaret River and tasting through 75 vintages of Black Label, Steven's Road Vineyard and reserve ranges in both Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvingon. The wines were sensational, and painted a really clear picture of both the Xanadu house style, and the longevity of these Margaret River fine wines. The following day, Glenn and I spent 30 minutes discussing our top picks from the tasting the day before, and unpicking what makes them so special. Glenn is one of Australia's most impressive winemakers, and walks us through, in a very open and great way, the wines and vineyards at Xanadu.
    * Big apologies for the state of my voice - I woke up that morning with nothing, so this, believe it or not, was an improvement! *

Any review you see on my socials ( / erinllarkin , this channel and my website (www.erinlarkin.com.au) are never paid for by wineries or anyone else: the wines are featured on their merits - because they have risen to the top in tastings. If you try the wines I recommend and you like them - good! Because so do I.

Xanadu are in my top 5 in Margaret river, sat at a tasting at Lamont’s with Glen and Brendo, where we were blessed by the Xanadu experience, 18 and 20 are fantastic across the range and due to their work at the vineyard, and dedication to achieving excellence, they consistently make me happy. And the video could have been longer, never enough Erin

@@erinlarkin as a side note, my prediction is that more and more wineries, specially with ultra high quality limited wines will start experimenting with wild fermentation, that without a doubt expresses the uniqueness of wines…

I agree it adds complexity and identity to the wines for sure 🙏
