    I have great respect for NTSB. Under such pressure from the media, they hold their steady feet. So many self appointed "experts" already jumped into their own conclusions, not them, not until all facts are gathered and analyzed.

    • @TitaniumTurbine
      @TitaniumTurbine 6 дней назад +2

      Agreed. They have a LONG history of independence and integrity. I mean they even brought in their own black hawk helicopter pilot from Alaska to assist with the investigation in order to not rely on/conflict with the D.O.D. which would be far easier given their heavy presence in DC.
      I’m actually pretty tired of seeing all these armchair experts throughout so many comment sections, jumping to conclusions and commenting outdated garbage. The conspiracy theorists… the insanity… the paranoia… I’m so over it.

      This press conference was conducted in a proper manner. I would like to see more like this instead of the chaos with leading questions from reporters--and one US President--making gross assumptions based on pure conjecture.
      I think to a great extent, we have to thank TikTok for having this effect, because especially post election we've learned to trust the first hand accounts of people who were actually there rather than journalists milking preferred answers out of them, editing, presenting them for maximum impact.

It’s how Rome remained so powerful for so long, in their conquest of the world they made many great enemies, but as they got too big, those safe inside its interior territories forgot the struggles of man, much as the central states of the US act today.

    I am mesmerized by channels such as Mayday and several others. Having watched many, I have a good idea of how the NTSB conducts its painstaking investigations. Everything I am seeing so far is by the book. The work starts in the tower cab as soon after the crash as possible, with interviews with the ATCs. The specific controller has also been drug and alcohol tested immediately, even before interviews begin right by the controller's station. Their radar data are recorded and can be played back. The radio calls are recorded. I expect this entire process to take at least a year. All the data on the recorders, assuming there was no damage, must be retrieved and analyzed. There is the fine-tooth-combing of the wrecks to see where precisely what hit what, where did the rotors impact, what parts came off first, the detail is astounding, but when they get through, they will have as clear a picture of what really happened as is humanly possible. Meantime, I will not speculate. No one should. Until the NTSB finishes, no one should imagine knowing what happened. The reams of data you'd need will simply be unavailable to you.

  • @impsquared
    @impsquared 6 дней назад

    @18:23 he says exactly what the NTSB does at the end of this interview, straight up looking for the facts! “The NTSB is an Independent, bipartisan board, 58 years as the gold standard. Our job is to find the facts. But more importantly, our job is to make sure this tragedy doesn't happen again, regardless of what anyone may be saying, our investigators never want to see this happen again, and I never want to have to go back and brief another set of family like that.”

    So, this has nothing to do with ATC or DEI or the pilots of both the Blackhawk or the AA flight.
    The ATC communications were clear, PAT25 the Blackhawk did not respond to 2 communications from the ATC, which means it may have been a malfunction on comms on the Blackhawks end.
    I don't think it was the Blackhawk pilot fault, the comms were clear from the ATC but their was no response and the closing speed of the Blackhawk to the AA plane means he did not have enough time to react quick enough probably due to lack of comms due to the malfunction to avoid the plane.
    Its terrible, its an accident.
    Prayers for the families and friends for all the victims and the ATC who witnessed the crash.

    Why are they not releasing the information on the pilot of the chopper, they released the info on the check pilot and the crew chief, but nothing on the pilot in control. This is WRONG, what are they keeping from the American public, one journalist said the family wanted to prevent the release, well I'm sorry, this person, based on information available, was one of the key people responsible for the deaths of 67 people, and was a public servant, the public has a right to know all pertinent information about this individual, RELEASE IT NOW!
