- Mimkut, the premier festival of the Kuki community, is usually celebrated on 17th January with much pomp and gaiety.
The video presented here is one such held at Phaipijang Village, Dimapur on Jan. 17, 2024, with Zhaleo Rio, IAS (Retd.), Advisor, Urban Development & Municipal Affairs Dept, Government of Nagaland as the Special Guest of the day-long function.
The Special Guest was accorded traditional honour with a palanquin ride till the dais. The other events shared here include songs and dances which are revered by the community.
My special acknowledgement goes to Rokolhoulie Zumu without whom this short clip would never see the light of day!
