I love how the landscapes and seasons are all different. It reminds me that no matter how much we change, hurt and grow as humans we are still so beautiful and loved. It makes me laugh that when I've had pretty bad days and I'm going home, I almost always listen to songs that are quite pessimistic, but this song always appears to tell me that everything will be fine and that i am enough.

At some point a few years ago, I go to listen to SAL's songs whenever I felt really upset and empty, seekong comfort. Now that I'm in a better place, listening to their songs again gave me a bit of nostalgia, and this song, again, comforted and more so encouraged me to aim my head high and I finally believe it. ❤

About two years ago, I made a playlist on my phone for all the SaL songs I was familiar with, to be added to as I started listening to more. I picked the first photo on my phone that seemed to fit as the cover of a SaL playlist, and to this day, Sleeping At Last to me is represented by a picture of a hundred bubbles. This music video just feels so perfect and the sense of lightness perfectly conveys what I always hear when I listen to SaL music.
Funny how this popped up on my recommendation right after I had an internal dialogue about why I have been thinking about suicide a lot lately.
The best is yet to come my friend. Talk to someone please if you are feeling down it helps a lot trust me.

I lost count of how many times I've cried to this song and many others of yours. These songs were and still are something I could never get tired of and could always come back to.
My mental health just keeps spiraling. I'm too scared to reach out but I know that I should. I get random anxiety attacks that make me too scared to be alone. Many times I just listen to music and try to calm down. I frequent your music a lot and sometimes just listening to it makes me cry harder. I feel so different when I hear this song, like I'm transported to a new world. I just feel a wave of calmness and ease wash over me and it makes me feel so loved.

my high school winter ddrumline used this in our show entitled "covet" in 2022, along with "running up that hill" and i've had it on my playlist since before that even. it was my top played song that year and has continued to be one of my all time favorite songs. that season was absolutely gut wrenching as someone who never believed these words. i had and still have kinda terrible self esteem and my directors worked with me on it for the couple seasons we had together. now they've left to go back to school and do other things with their lives and im coming back to rewatch our show and to listen to this song over and over. that season and this song especially have changed me so much and so much of me wishes i could go back and lsiten to this song again for the first time. i ugly cried, i remember the day vividly. and i sobbed again the day i found out it would be used in our show, because i thought it was super underrated and no one knew about it. i miss that season so much. my first percussion exerience, which turned out to be a newfound passion, the friends i made, the seniors that left, the staff members that left. i miss all of it so much my heart hurts. you are enough is the first song i found of yours, and it has been with me through so much. so many dark thoughts, and so many bad/ self destructive decisions. i've somehow made it through. to be enchanted is another one of my favorites. i resonate so much with both 6 and 9, and i love the projectionist. of course, there are so many more that i can't eve nbegin to mention how much and why i love them. i wish i could see all of this in concert some day. thank you for unknowingly creating music that has been my comfort in some sort of way. thank you for showing me that my world didn't have to end at 8, or 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16. thank you for doing what you do.

Lately, I have really needed to hear this. I have been in the position my whole life of having known this sentence, but over the years, believing it was for someone who needed it more than me. Soon after somewhere down that road, it turned to the belief that it did not apply to me, not that I don't matter as a person, but that my struggles don't count as a defiance of worthiness to the outside world, so it did not count to me though my self-worth has been going up in flames for a while recently. I do not seek attention or pity for it; it is just what trials I am faced with in this season. But I am trying to learn to see myself the way God does as I work to become better and love and forgive myself and how I have responded to living with other people's mistakes and life-changing choices that have been less than positive. I really needed to connect with this song today; thank you.
