The government had been getting legal advise from day one. There was no need for Lammy to start a new review process. The legal advise is provided on UK compliance with international law, it does not matter which political party is in power. It was leaked that Israel were not complying with international law when the Conservatives were in power, so what's new, different or not immediately obviously to anyone following events?
When politicians use the review excuse, they know it's wrong, it means we'll stall as long as possible until they don't need to do anything.

When a diplomat says 'potentially complicit' they are likely being diplomatic and mean 'complicit'.
When the Foreign Office say 'serious violations of international humanitarian law' they mean that they don't treat all violations of international humanitarian law seriously.

There are still people within the establishment that maintain a moral integrity, sadly they are having to leave. Says a lot about the direction of the establishment.
Why if they are being investigated are sales continuing? Surely they should be paused pending the outcome of the investigation. Continuing to do so is a conflict of interests to say the least and at worst makes the UK complicit in ongoing war crimes.

Well, why were you working for the British government in the first place? I don't know how old you are but I'm guessing you started working for the FCO after the UK government illegally sold weapons to actual genocidal regimes, most notably Saddam Hussein's Iraq and Indonesia?
You will remember that when Robin Cook became foreign secretary, he committed to establish an ethical foreign policy. This commitment was dropped as soon as New Labour came to power. I very much doubt that the government has become any more 'ethical' in subsequent years.
If you are that concerned, you would better off speaking to Hamas, and telling them to stop hiding behind Gazan civilians and using them as pawns in their political 'struggle'.
