Javed Jaffery and Irani's are the most cultured, enlightened interviews with depth. Actual life experiences over many decades that we all can learn from...your casual druve, munching and gup shup all the while is the best to put the guest at ease. Well done.
Thank you so much! Do share the episode with your friends and family!☺️
And Kabir khan .. you missed him ☺️
Kunal Khemu as well 😍
@@samreenfatima4991 totally 💯
Who is Sandeep ? Ask Javed
Parsis are an important element of Mumbai City. Even though less in numbers, their influence on this city is vast 👌🏻❤️
Yes absolutely
Important? They are in fact an integral part of this Bombay. From Cricket to Bakery, they have walked hand in hand with this city.
This was wonderful! I first saw Boman in New Delhi 20 years ago. He was playing the role of Mahatma in a play called "mahatma vs. gandhi" at India Habitat Center. My wife and I somehow landed up in the first row. - both of us were uncomfortable since we had experience of being targeted by performers. But this was a play with a script, so there was no risk! Anyway, very soon we were in the direct firing line of Boman's piercing eyes as he and the rest of the cast delivered an intense and outstanding performance. So I am happy to believe that we had a tenuous, if early connection with Boman having seen him in theatre which is a fairly raw format.
Thank you so much! Do share the episode with your friends and family!☺️
Boman sounds so genuine and his growth is a result of that and he’s been brilliant in most of his parts
he sure is!
Who better than a Parsi Bawa to talk about the Bombay journey! Thank you for having the incredible Boman Irani on the show. Loved it.
The real Bombay journey! The vintage Bombay the new generation never saw..we could only imagine how charming the city would be in 60s/70s. Thanks to Mr.Boman Irani's lovely stories!
Nostalgic as I was born and brought up at Bombay Central and my life in those days was around all the bylanes of Grant Road with famous Golden wafers the best in Bombay with Mr. Boman Irani sitting on cash counter and sometimes frying wafers. Sarvi Restaurant, that pyali at Clare Road and all cinema houses at Lamington Road were all part of our life
This was a Bombay Journey in true sense. Boman is a legend!
If you taking requests...my list would include...Bharat Dhabolkar, Cyrus Broacha, Nawazuddin, Anurag Kashyap, Karan Johar, Manoj Bajpayee, Renuka Shahae, Ashutosh Rana, Ratna Pathak Shah, Naseeruddin Shah, Pavan Malhotra, Prahalad Kakkar, Piyush Pandey, Anu Kapoor..and a few more :)
Wish could have ssr
Massively seconding this list!!!!
This by far was the heartiest episode! Boman Irani is one of the most enriched humans and a master of the craft. Please do bring him again ☺️
I teach literature in a university and lately your interviews have found way into my lectures on culture studies.
The city bylanes and anecdotes doing the trick
Why are literature students unemployed
@@shrishri8898 Because people in India have no understanding of literature and art. This isn't Ireland from the 20th century, people don't know Mozart, Rembrandt, Nietzsche or Greene.
Love the part where he is talking with old neighbours, amazing scene & journey of growth, being humble & still so grounded.
Fantastic 36 mins spent watching this interview...brought me memories of the lanes and some of the landmarks Boman elaborated on. Minerva, Regal, Parsi agiyari..all the places I happened to visit in childhood, made me nostalgic...
Also loved to see how grounded and worldy Boman is...wish him luck and more screen time
Echo the same , reminded me of my childhood, nostalgic ……
Such a down to earth, cultured man who hasn't forgotten his roots despite the innumerable successes he's had in his career. Isse kehete hain self-made insaan. 🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Hat's off to these legendary people true MUMBAIKAR not in any controversy always straight forward 👏👏👏👍
I am from Grant Road. I stay next to Minerva Cinema(erstwhile) and as a kid have bought wafers many times from Boman Irani's shop Golden Wafers 🤓
You captured my building too in the video while you passed the Minerva plot!
nostalgic much!
my nani use to bring wafer from his shop for us and they are still best wafer i had in my childhood ❤❤❤ love you boman sir great interview 😊😊😊
That shop still exists?
Boman Irani is so down to earth person , that showed when he visited his shop area and interacted with his oldies.. his acting skills doesn't reflect on his conversation which was so simple and true..and Siddharth your comment about his knowledge of Bombay city...that he should be as a bus guide was fantastic...one of the most interesting journeys of " Bombay Journey " . Loved it ...
gimme an example of a celebrity who is not down to earth
@@BlokeBritish Give me an example of a celebrity who took the interviewer to his old neighborhood and covered all his past stories? Nobody does that fool, only a true gentleman who has always stuck to his roots and is genuinely down-to-earth does that. Not those celebrities that you're trying to talk about who do it only for the sake of camera. Nobody goes that far, no celebrity will go out of their comfort zone just for an interview. Only celebrities who came from nothing to something do that. And Boman Irani is one of those celeb. Belive that.
@@Possiblesid he can go around in the neighbourhood coz he is a small time celebrity.
if he was big B he would not even be seen here.
put this into ur little brain first
@@BlokeBritish wtf? Small time celebrity? You sound like a hardcore bootlicking Amitabh Bachchan fan😩🤣. I shouldn't be arguing with people like you who don't understand facts, who always ignore the truth and choose to implement their imaginary propaganda of licking ballsack of their favourite people.
Geniune n humble Boman .great as n actor Great as human being .
All parsis r very sweet .
I was sent this video from my Uncles, you see his journey is the same as mine in terms of where we lived and school, I am an alumini of St Mary's Mazagoan, full fledge Mumbai Boy, same fav eating places, the same walk to home from school, St Agnes Convent, PK Moosa cold drink house, Bata showroom, just an amazing place to have been bought up
What do you do now
Boman's coat color is awesome..hell of an actor too..man ..khosla ka ghosla..one of his the best performances...
Boman Sir is such a cool & at ease person.. he knows his struggles have took him forward but he isn't even a bit too proud if it.. love that about him.. also one more thing I would like to add.. if anyone noticed his voice is also too good to be heard.. I can listen to him speak all day long with that voice.. also ye show kabhi band mat karo yaar.. keep it going.. 😍😍😍❤❤❤
Thank you for inviting the finest character actor in Bollywood. What a man what an energy and what a legend. It’s an honor just to watch him.
Update- saw the whole episode, what a gem. I think Sid was a tad bit nervous (in a good way) as the personality and panache this man oozes is overwhelming (not intimidating).
This is best episode till date. Such a gem of a human being.
Wow.. I admire people like Boman Irani. Respect Sir. Thanks for this interview Sid
Bro were you scared of Boman sir's energy?? tbh he has massive load of energy and charisma.
not scared, more like mesmerised!
Would be happy to see a part2 with Boman Irani where you could include visiting some iconic Irani cafes in SOBO, exploring some good Parsi bhonu (food) with some nostalgic stories of his time.
I love this style of interviewing people, it’s just so raw & lovely ❤️
This is so beautiful to know he is not forgotten his Roots. THANKS boman i love you. I'm from madanpura, Nagpada this is heaven for me
This Show is so Calming and Therapeutic.
He is so vivacious 🙌 His energy is off the roof. Loved every bit of this episode ❤️
This was one of my most favorite interviews. Your show just keeps getting better,. You're criminally underrated and it makes me sad
One of my fav episodes of Bombay journey.. my respect for him incresed after watching this... So so grounded
Loved Loved Loved the interview , Boman Sir is a sweetheart just so real and warm, enjoyed listening to his stories and his south Mumbai stories . I related to the theatres and areas he spoke about as have seen some of those places.
Saarvi kebab at Nagpada junction took me to my Engineering days.
Major Nostalgia.I think Boman knows South Bombay more than us 😅
One of the best episode till date...blast from the past ... literally mapping the road by memories.
Really a very nice interview. Boman is a phenomenal actor. He has been a favorite antagonist in early 2000s .
Saw all your videos in one sitting. One of the best shows and Siddharth makes them all so comfortable. All celebrities seem at home in a lux car.
Such a positive vibe you give Siddharth bhai. Love this format. Boman is a live wire as usual : )
Bhai it's very light hearted conversation which I think was missing (as Boman said..) but thanks to u for bringing it back. When I sit, I binge watch ur episodes. Feels so gd to listen to the real life stories, past moments...Boman is so genuine n happy go lucky person I didn't let my ears to move away not even for a second.. So enjoyable.👍👍
You see this man and you want to hug him. Its like hugging Positivity.
I think this (and Javed Jaffrey's) is the best episode you've done so far. A Bombay episode about Bombay! Great work Siddharth! 🤗
Class act! He has worked in so many different fields that the conversation is a life lesson!
This show is so nice..I watch it daily during my lunch break hours. Have watched each and every show till now
It’s fab. Episode after episode. Breaking the ceiling. Keep going. Look forward everytime
Kya baat hai Bombay Journey....chaay gaye....last wale 2-3 + ye....super....👍
I love all the Bombay journey interviews. Very well researched and conducted. But the thing that makes me restless all the time is when Siddharth takes his eyes off the road. On Indian roads it seems so scary. Is this done in very low traffic hours? Is there a leading vehicle that keeps the road ahead clear for him? Can you maybe do a small BTS of the driving setup?
One of the best episodes....... Simplicity well defined. 👍
One of the best interviews. Enjoyed the tour of nooks and crannies of BOMBAY with Boman. It was a tour down memory lane. Had watched many a films at Minerva, loved the theatre round.
This was….one of the finesttttt Episodes…
Amazing Siddharth bhaai!!!
Byculla American Express Bakery tagline - _We knead your needs_ -
My dad had shown me this when I was young. I still remember that. Nice interview showing all the old South Mumbai places we love. Sarvis, American Express Bakery, Minerva Talkies, Taj Hotel. Etc. notice how he has to explain the concept of a Band Stand to the millenial. As a child even I would think Band Stand is only at Bandra. Then i realised there are many such band stands all over Mumbai. I was lucky to listen to the Mumbai Police and Naval bands playing at the cooperage band stand.
Seen all the movies Baman has mentioned😁 Minerva was called the Pride of India if I remember well..Apsara, Novelty all great theaters of our times & screened all the big movies. Thank you so much Baman for taking us down memory lane. God bless!
This is the actual Bombay journey. He is just too cool 👍👍
I saw lots of your episodes...but never subscribed you...but after seeing boman sir...he made this show so lively and spoke so honestly..I subscribed your channel..
Really I enjoyed a lot...keep it up showing such a truthful content..
What a beautiful man... Beautiful bcz his soul is beautiful simple 💕💕 love the episode ❤️
such a wholesome vibe it was. one of the best episodes. love for boman sir.
Thank you for this different approach of interviewing people, even they feel so comfortable and we can look at them as human for once not PR trained.(or are they?, If yes tell them to do this more😂)
Bohat acha laga ye interview dekh kar, we love you boman sir❤
I LOVE THIS MAN SO MUCH!!! I judge a movie’s merit by whether Boman is in it.
this is certainly a unique way of taking interviews. I love this no cringe talks no faltu questions great host and Iove this format
He is so good. Such good energy. Loved it ❤
such a humble &down to earth person….@Mashable pls keep on coming such great videos with such great personalities .Enjoyed the video👍
One of the fun episodes..loved every bit of it !
Simply loved this episode. Siddharth you have become my most favourite ❤️❤️
Started watching you videos randomly and could not stop watching next and next vidoes. You are simply amazing
This video and his stories are more relevant to me... As I live in Mumbai Central... All other celebs go to Juhu and all... But I could totally connect with Boman... Just wow... Most of the stories were heard from my father or some relative or neighbor. It's amazing.
One of the most educating, nostalgic and enjoyable episode of this series after Javed Jafri episode.
Please try to get Mr Amitabh Bachchan..he can give more insights of Mumbai
What a heartfelt conversation! Love you Boman uncle ♥️
What a lovely person !! Enjoyed watching the show..
This guy is what Mumbai's Spirit is all about.. What a Guy... And Sid my man what a interview Yaar.. Mazza aa gaya
Everyone might not agree- but this guy is a living legend. The accolades that he has garnered over the given span and the spectrum of performances that he has shown on screen- he's a cut above the rest.

Boman Speaks nice Gujarati I loved it! Every human being can relate his life story with this vdo ! 😌🙏🏻
This is the best episode of bombay journey . You should look at interviewing more actors/ people like boman irani who are so genuine.
I love watching these veteran theatre actors. Please get Ashish Vidhyarthi for an interview. Amazing personality. I have an unending list of theatre actors I would like to see on this channel.
Most Awaited Episode 😍

Boman Irani episode is in my Top 3 episodes I’ve seen so far after Javed Jaffrey and Kabir Khan .. special mention : Abhishek Bachchan, Sonali Bendre, Rajpal Yadav
Boman, I really think you should do a web series or so of history of mumbai and also interview other such gems and make few episodes. From a mumbaikar!
Wonderful show. I really enjoy watching your show 👍
This is the real Bombay Journey! So wholesome! 😍❤️
Enjoyed the drive..all our haunts of south bombay...thanks to sid and boman
Best interview so far 💖
He is a great guy. One can judge a person by the way he stays in touch with his roots and the PPL who where there when he was trying to make a mark. God bless him and his family. I hope PPL understand the meaning of life is to keep the balance .
One of the best episodes👌👌 Mr. Boman Irani resembles Mr. Jackie Shroff as far his way of talking is concerned👍👍
