    Thanks for this, in my case the releasing of the torx bolts on the driveshaft end near the gearbox resulted in the casing still staying on the gearbox and I had to pull the knuckle out of the casing, Is there an reason for the casing/part where the knuckle sits in to to remain in place even after all the torx bits have been removed?

    great video - just wanted to know how you know the cv axle needs replacing? I have a 2001 quattro and there is in/out movement on all axles, no rotational movement or slopiness , however when driving above 120km I do have vibrations and in the last 3 months I get some clunking in the front when turning left especially when hitting dips on turns that make the suspension compress and release does this sound like a cv issue or a lower swingarm (I had the upper supports done a few years back?

      @@simoncossettini9680 the A4 has two upper and two lower control arms. I suspect if the top was done it would be, the lower bushes are shagged. The driveshaft moves in and out anyway normally to compensate for compression. Just buy two new lowers they are cheap as shit anyway (well in the UK). If you have a ago yourself beware you will have to drop the subframe a little, or cut the bolts out. CV’s last forever unless the boot perished and water got in.

    Does a bad axle make you lights come on on your dashboard? I have the AIR BAG, ESP ABS and a flashing BRAKE LIGHT. What can it be? I see you work on a lot of Audi. I have a 2004 Audi A4 Quattro 1.8t

    • @ZArepublic99
      @ZArepublic99 3 года назад

      Im not sure if OP is still having issues but for the flashing brake light (Emergency Brake), I had an issue where I had to re-tighten the e-brake cable which is under the center console. I also for some reason had too much brake fluid but when I removed the yellow bleeder (yellow flat-headed looking cap)on the top of the brake fluid reservoir and the brake fluid forced its way out and the sensor disappeared. In some cases you may need to add brake fluid because like Milan said, your brake pads are low.

  • @BeeShopcs

  • @Decybello

    Amateurs..... When you have the car sdtanding on its wheels you would slide the axle out with one finger... Or, if you don't have an inspection pit, just use second jack to push a wheel hub a little up to simulate the load on a suspension column.
