I tried both today at Macys. I bought Dylan Blue. I feel like you could wear it anytime. Bleu De Chanel edt, seemed like more of a special occasion or holiday cologne. Dylan blue seems like it’s lasting longer on my skin.
These are not really the best fragrances on the planet tho, niche fragrances are the best like some roja/mancera/montale to name a few, but maybe they just rate them 6-8 cause it's not what they really like at the moment
i mean bro, :) there are much much better fragrances, go to Arab countries and smell their expensive ouds, i tried one, it smelled like a vanilla wood at first, but 5 min later! that smell i still remember, and he used 1 drop on me and it lasted 2 days. i couldnt bought it because i left country next day. :/

Both are great. BDC doesn't perform as well as DB on my skin but is much less synthetic. Higher percentages of synthetics makes the performance better. DB is more pleasing to the public because it has such an addictive scent cloud and people will notice you. Whereas BDC doesn't project as heavily but is higher quality and smells more refined in close encounters. I have both and love both. I prefer Dylan blue and tend to just wear Chanel eau extreme when I want to wear Chanel casually. I wear Dylan blue to the gym and a lot during the spring. But what you enjoy wearing and smelling on yourself, they are all great.
BDC is clearly the superior scent any day. just the initial feel of a sniff doesnt always say it all. both are my favs though and BDC is my all time number 1

How fresh are the sprays? The Dylan blue smells nice on the opening, but with the drydown it smells even better in my opinion. The bdc might be better or worse as well.
Dylan Blue is awesome but the best Blue is Blue De Chanel EDP very bright citrusy luminous effervescent smooth creamy woody.However due to the price disparity as an everyday fragrance I'm more comfortable using Dylan Blue.

Dylan blue harsh and synthetic when smelled directly, the magic is in the siillage or scent trail and performs better than BDC. It is a fusion of ADG profumo, sauvage and BDC. BDC is really smoother and refined whether nose to skin or in the air. DB is cheaper though so just get em both.
I don’t have Chanel but I do have Dylan blue. I find the smell very synthetic and too strong for the first 20-30 minutes. After that I really love the smell and to me it becomes non offensive and definitely a good casual wear, still might have to give Chanel a try though.

Solid overall! If you want to expand a little bit, I'd recommend Tom Ford Noir Extreme as a warm, seductive fragrance for evenings around women. And perhaps a bright, aquatic one as well for hot days, like AdG Profondo. Edit: I thought you only had those 5, but reading again, you said those were your favorites. my bad.

EDT has a zesty vibe thats missing in the other 2. its just a touch down in quality or smoothness and this difference is hardly even detectable i think. anyway it depends on wat smell profile u prefer. im all for the zesty sparkling masculine type so EDT is my most fav. the Parfum is excellent too but i somehow dont like the sweet ambery feel in the EDP at all

I cant really tell the difference between the both, blue Dylan is slightly more stronger. 10 min later, blue dylan is more lighter and blue chanel is stronger. and smells slightly change
All those overhyped parfums (like bdc, Sauvage, Dior Homme) get destroyed when it comes to real life test. BDC and most of the Dior Parfum smell outdated. There are so much better and modern smelling Designer frangrances. Go for Versace, JPG, Armany or Prada.

I had Dylan Blue and Bleu de Chanel EdP. They smell a little different. The opening of Bleu de Chanel here is very bright citrusy/grapefruit like and little sweet/creamy. Dylan Blue is more bitter citrusy with Patchouli and Ambroxan, so it smells more aquatic already in the opening. But they have similarities, also in the drydown
