Love Grandma Logan, but her son abandoned Beth 8 years ago. I don't think Beth should get involved with a married man, but I don't think Grandma Logan should expect Beth to not move on. Beth would not be betraying her son, her son betrayed Beth when he abandoned her. Grandma Logan's son also abandoned her, his elderly mother. If it hadn't been for Beth, Grandma Logan would still be living alone in a small apartment.

Just out of curiosity, Y&R featured a breast cancer story of the matriarch early on, and so has B&B... both shows created by Bill Bell. What was Bell, Sr.'s interest in telling the cancer stories? Not that I am criticizing, I just wondered if someone in the Bell family had breast cancer?
My guess is Bill Bell loved telling public awareness stories. I’m not sure If I’m remembering correctly, but in 1991, Susan Flannery begged him to do a homelessness story featuring Stephanie and he did it.

I’m positive that was Alden’s idea since she was basically Bill Bell’s protégé.
The writing and pacing of season 1 is MILES ahead of the garbage, repetitive writing of today. (2022) This almost feels like a prime time show (like Dallas or Dynasty or even Melrose Place) Today is an embarrassment of writing
