Thanks for all these! as a 4/5 year old in Reception class I can happily say that Sophie was my very first ''love'' besides mummy hehe. I searched her up on Google after watching this.... still very active in Dr Who conventions and such bless her.
Look forward to seeing more uploads as and when you can. Thanks!. Sophie also did a second series in the academic year September 1994 - July 1995 as I am sure you are aware. I was not fond of Michael Hobbs presenting in September 1993 - July 1994 even as a five year old!.SO many children watched this programme in the first 2 years of infant school. I once recall reading that 88% of teachers used the series in the 80's era of Vicky and ''Charlie'' and thus, continued into the late 90's.
I would be genuinely surprised if there was a single primary school in the country that _never_ used any episode of Words and Pictures while it was on. It surely has to be the most ubiquitous of all educational shows. (And I still don't know how they did that Magic Pencil...)
Considering the time ( even as far back as the early 1980's on occasion ) Magic Pencil was baffling in terms of technological advances! When it colour changed in 1994 it showed how change came about. I do think that is what is most endearing about the show...it's mystery and ''magic'' both as a child and now an adult. Just HOW was it done is something I suspect many of us wish we knew.
Thank you, please keep uploading these if you can, they are so nostalgic to me.
More to come soon - some with Sophie, some without.
@@VideotapeFTW Wow thank you I will look forward to it
Thankyou Philip Lester for showing me all the way round, down and flick

You're welcome! And you're not the first person to say something along those lines... ;-)
