Honestly, the best way to insure your cast iron pan stays seasoned is to use-use-use it. I don't use soap, but use hot water and scrub. if you have sticky or bits stuck after cooking, pour some water in pan while hot and gently scrape with you spatula, then rinse. If dull after wash, I wipe with a spray of oil. I wouldn't imagine pork rinds would be a good binder for meatloaf.
My mom got me 2 cast iron skillets years ago and I've never seasoned them or cooked with them. They've still got the labels on them. I'm just so unfamiliar with them that I always gravitate to my pioneer woman sets. Maybe ill take your advice and bring them out soon!
