Good Lord, this is beautiful. Definitely my favorite adoration of the magi so far. I love the way each person is portrayed - especially adorable bb Jesus blessing the reverent king prostrated before him. Love the interesting narrative winding around the painting. Love the addition of 3D plaster. Love that it is opulent without being gaudy. I'm in love, lol. 😍
That is incredibly close to a romantic style. I love this piece. I learned a lot about the transition from Imperial Gothic to Renaissance from it just now.
When they begin discussing Mary in this video, there is a word that is never quite clear: Is it "mottling" or "modelling" or something else?? Thank you!
I had never heard of this piece until now. It is so beautiful!
Your analyzes are so precise. Thank you for your great work. It's a great asset.

Great GENTILE DA FABRIANO !
Я живу в России и о такой красоте и не мечтаю. А мечтаю прокормить семью.

If you mean around 4:44 it is "modeling."
Thank you! Yes, that's it.
did y'all see the cheetah behind the horses? 😳
This painting looks more medieval than renaissance.
You'd think for a place called the "Khan Academy" there would at least be some reference to the use of pseudo-Kufic script.
