Tshering Dorji is Bhutanese film actor and Singer. This song was composed and released on the joyous occasion of the 116th National Day of Bhutan, 17th December 2023. The humble tribute to the noble deeds of His Majesty the King of Bhutan. The song has been cherished by the entire nation, and it was once again performed on His Majesty the King's 44th birth anniversary, February 21, 2024. Popular Bhutanese artists also chorused and sung to the tune of this already popular piece.

Cypress is not the only one,
(Cypress is the national tree of Bhutan)
ཤིང་འདི་གི་ཞལ་ལག་ཁར་ལུ་བྱ་རོག་གདོང་ཅན་ཆགས།
Shing di gi zhela kha lu Jaaro dongchen chha
The Raven perches on the branch of this tree,
(Raven is the national bird of Bhutan)
འབྲོང་གྱིམ་ཙེ་གི་མི་དོ།
Drong gyem tse gi mi dho
Takin is not the only one
(Takin is the national animal of Bhutan)
ཨའེ་སེམས་ཅན་སྤྱི་རིགས་རྣམ་ཡང་༼སྣ་ཚོགས༽འཁོར་སའི་ཞིང་ཁམས་ཨིན།
Aye, semchen chi-rig-nam ya khor saayi zhingkham en
It’s a paradise where a diverse range of fauna inhabits
ཐུགས་ཀྱི་སྲསམོ་བདེ་སྲུང་ནང་ལས་སྦེ།
Thu gi seymo Desuung nang lay bay
The god-daughter, Desuung (the guardian of peace) from the inner front
ཐུགས་སྲས་དྲག་ཁག་གསུམ་གྱི་ལྕགས་རི་སྐོར།
Thu sey drakha sum gi chari kor
The barriers on the external front are the heart sons,the three branch of military
ལུང་བསྟན་ཅན་གྱི་འབྲུག་གི་གསེར་ཁྲི་གུ།
Hmm, lungten chen gi Druk gi serthri gu
On the prophesied golden throne of Bhutan,
བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་པའི་སྤྲུལ་པ་ཞུགས་དེ་ཡོད།
Jangchub sempi truelpa zhu di yoe
The emanation of Bodhisattva perched gracefully.
འབྲུག་མི་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་ལགཔ་ཐལ་མོ་སྦྱར་ཏེ་བཏབ་པའི་སྨོན་ལམ་ལུ་ཚིག་གཅིག་ར་ཨིན།
Druk mi yong gi lab thelmo jaa di taap pi moenlam lu tshi chi ra en
There’s only one word in the prayers of every Bhutanese,
གསེར་ཁྲི་གུ་གི་ཨའེ་གསུང་སྐད་འདི་འབྲུག་མི་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་སེམས་ལུ་གཏན་རྐྱང་བཞག་བཅུག་ཅིག།
Serthri gu gi sungkay di Druk mi yong gi sem lu tencha zha chu chi
May the voice of the Golden Throne resonate eternally in the hearts of every Bhutanese.

One thing every Bhutanese must remember is,

Druk gi gyel-khab seywi sago di
The place known as the Dragon Kingdom of Bhutan,
གནམ་སྟོང་མི་སྦུག་ལས་ཁོ་རའི་རྩ་ལས་གྲུབ་གྲུབ་མེན།
Nam tong mi bulay kho rai tsa lay drup drup men
It did not simply appear out of no where.
མཁས་པ་ཚུ་གི་བྲི་བྲི་བའི་དེབ་ཡང་མེན།
Kheba tshu gi dri dri-wi deb ya men
It’s not a book written by experts.
འདོད་པ་ཅན་གྱི་གྲུབ་གྲུབ་པའི་ཚོང་ཡང་མེན།
Doeba chen gi drup dru-bi tshong ya men
It is not a good gathered out of desire.
ཨའེ་ག་ཡང་མེད་པའི་ས་རུག་རྡོ་རུག་གུ།
Aye, ga ya mebi saru doru gu
The uninhabited land was,
ཨའེ་དཔལ་ལྡན་འབྲུག་པའི་ངོ་རྟགས་གནང་གནངམ་ཨིན།
Aye, Pelden drubi ngotaag nang nam en
Bestowed the identity of the Pelden Drukpa (Bhutan).
འབྲུག་མི་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་ལགཔ་ཐལ་མོ་སྦྱར་ཏེ་བཏབ་པའི་སྨོན་ལམ་ལུ་ཚིག་གཅིག་ར་ཨིན།
གསེར་ཁྲི་གུ་གི་ཨའེ་གསུང་སྐད་འདི་འབྲུག་མི་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་སེམས་ལུ་གཏན་རྐྱང་བཞག་བཅུག་ཅིག།
འཛམ་གླིང་རྒྱལ་ཁབ་མཐའ་དབུས་མེད་པར་སྐོར།
Zamling gyelkhab thhayue miba kor
Travelled extensively around the world,
ཨའི་འཇམ་པའི་པུས་མོ༼ཞབས་པུས༽ཆ་གཅིག་ས་ཁར་བཙུགས་འདི་གིས།
Aye, jambi pumo chha chi sakha tsu di gi
Knelt down with his smoothest knees on the ground,
ལེགས་པའི་ཕྱག་གཉིས་ཀྱིས་གཅིག་བཟོ།
Laybi chha nyi gi chhi zo
His gentle hands clasped together,
ཨའེ་ཉིན་ནུབ་མེད་པར་འབྲུག་པའི་མི་སེར་གདོང་ཁར་བཙུགས།
Aye nyi nub miba drubi miser dongkha tsu
Prioritize his subjects at all times.
ད་མཐོང་ནི་ཡོད་ན་དུས་ཚོད་ད་ལྟོ་ཨིན།
Da thong ni yoena dhue tshay dato en
It’s a moment for visualization,
ད་མནོ་ནི་ཡོད་ན་དུས་ཚོད་རན་ཆི་ཡི།
Da noh ni yoe na dhuetshay renchi yi
It is time to realize.
ད་དཔན་ལྡན་འབྲུག་པའི་དཔག་བསམ་ལྗོན་ཤིང་གི།
Da Pelden Druk pi paksam joenshing gi
The wish fulfilling tree (The King) of the Pelden Drukpa,
ཐུགས་དོན་གྲུབ་པའི་སྨོན་ལམ་བཏབ་དགེ་ཤོག།
Thu den drubi moenlam taab gay sho
Let’s offer prayers to fulfill his aspirations,
འབྲུག་མི་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་ལགཔ་ཐལ་མོ་སྦྱར་ཏེ་བཏབ་པའི་སྨོན་ལམ་ལུ་ཚིག་གཅིག་ར་ཨིན།
གསེར་ཁྲི་གུ་གི་ཨའེ་གསུང་སྐད་འདི་འབྲུག་མི་ཡོངས་ཀྱི་སེམས་ལུ་གཏན་རྐྱང་བཞག་བཅུག་ཅིག།
རྒྱལ་ལོ་ རྒྱལ་ལོ་ ལྷ་རྒྱལ་ལོ། Gyelo gyelo lha gyelo (To God be the glory)
བུ་རང་གི་སེམས་ཀྱི་རྣམ་ཅོ་གི། Bu rang gi sem gi namcho gi (The inner ear of mine,)
གསེར་ཁྲི་གུ་གི་གསུངས་སྐད་འདི་ཧིང་ས་ས་སྦེ་ཉན་ཚུགས་པས།
Serthri gu gi sungkay di hing sa sa bay nyen tshu bay
Can clearly hear the voice of the golden throne.
ལུང་པ་ཆུང་ཆུ་གསེར་གྱི་གང་ན་དགའ་བ་ལ།
Lungba Chung chu ser gi gang na gawa la
Happiness is when the valley is filled with gold,
གསེར་གྱི་གང་ན་སྐྱིད་པ་ལ།
Sergi gang na kiba la
It signifies harmony when it’s filled with gold.
