This is one of their most powerful two-song videos I've watched. The change in colours, tempo, styles, key changes, even suspensions. Crazy just crazy! These guys can play virtually anything! All pros, many state and nationals competition winners. Insanely musical! They can play sugary pop, jazz, metal, and much more (and then blend them to boot, as if they were meant to be together). True students and lovers of music. That's WagakkiBand for you. Enjoy!
I see you met the goddess Yuko Suzuhana. Wagakki Band amazing. Wait until you see what else they can do. They have been around awhile, and their musical catalog is deep. I recommend you check out: "Izana", "Reload Dead", "Queen of the Night", and "Sun Wheel". They are probably most well-known for the song "Senbonzakura", which they usually play at the end of their shows.
Thanks Jeff for checking out WGB! I already gave another suggestion, and for sure there will be more in the comments. - Hope you take another look at them -
"Dance with a sword" shown by singer Yuko Suzuhana is one of the legitimate traditional performing arts of Japan and is called "KEN-BU". It is by no means an improvisational performance that was carried out with an idea. "KEN" is a sword, here a Japanese sword. "BU" means dance. Dance with a sword is a dance style found all over the world. KEN-BU in Japan is a dance style with a history of about 160 years. It can be said that it is a relatively new performing art as a traditional Japanese performing art with a history of about 1000 years. Yuko Suzuhana is a KEN-BU instructor and has professional skills. ------------------------------------- from Japan * This is a sentence using Google Translate. it is great another channel has discovered the Wagakki Band. They are very popular in Japan but the more views from the west through RUclips the better. They could fill stadiums in the west but I don't really know how well known they are known outside RUclips? It will be very surprising if there is one song from them you will dislike.
This is so both beautiful, impressive, picturious and interesting (for me) to listen to!!😃🤯🥰😄😃 Wauw!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I’ll have to both watch and listen to this several times - sooo much and new going on like a firework fusion between ancient and future music and history - just wauw!!😃👍🏼🤩🥰🤗
That's a great reaction. I love Wagakki band. I recommend all the songs by Wagakushi Band that others have recommended. I would like to recommend two songs. Wagakki Band - Ignite / Manatsu no Dai Shinnenkai 2020 Yokohama Arena - Tenkyu no Kakehashi Wagakki Band - MOON SHINE / HALL TOUR 2017 四季ノ彩 -Shiki no Irodori- Please continue your response to Wagakushi Band.
Wagakki is a Superband of the highest order and their shows are second to none ! As a sidenote ... the Soundguys must be Supermans to putt such a sound together !
Wagakki means "Japanese music" and they blend rock with traditional instruments. They started by making covers of vocaloid song (songs made using computer generated voices), but they evolved into writing their own songs. That said they still do covers and their album due to be released in August will be a covers one. The group can't be really labelled with a style as they can play many different styles. Below is a list of various title by them that I recommend: Sun wheel: hard hitting rock ruclips.net/video/n0KNaSyE-H0/видео.html Queen of the night: very traditional ruclips.net/video/qsewsLfZ6qg/видео.html Hakushu kassai: quite rock and give all musician a chance to shine ruclips.net/video/5sJnveBvoLw/видео.html Senbonzakura: their first success, a vocaloid cover ruclips.net/video/3HpHRa0yNl4/видео.html Yoshiwara lament: another vocaloid cover, written by the bassist before he joined them ruclips.net/video/81vG0rX8QoQ/видео.html Synchronicity: very jazzy ruclips.net/video/UzYOb5KGGj8/видео.html Hana ni nare: very poppy ruclips.net/video/e5OeV8KsOPU/видео.html And finally something very different, the cover of Evanescence's Bring me to life they did with Amy Lee ruclips.net/video/hk1GtYK7BJM/видео.html That will do for a beginning. If you want to do more reaction to them, please choose a live version. Not only they are better on scene (doesn't mean they are not good in MV, far from that), but also if you react to their old MV they might get blocked, while reaction to live never get blocked.
In case you missed it, Machiya is playing a 7 string guitar instead of the standard 6 string. So far I have seen him playing 3 different 7 string guitars.
I'm a huge fan of Babymetal. I tried putting a reaction up and it got blocked so I put it up on Patreon. BUT I just now made it public so you can see it. ENJOY! www.patreon.com/posts/musician-on-by-63652466?Link&
Wagakki Band is made up of top-notch musicians who agree with Yuko Suzuhana (vocals)'s idea of "I want to send Japanese classical performing arts to the world more POP." When the music video for "Senbonzakura" recorded in their first album "Vocaloid Zanmai" was released, it attracted attention not only from Japan but also from all over the world. (Currently, "Senbonzakura" has been played 150 million times) They have already succeeded in overseas concerts in France, the United States, China, etc. In addition, they were elected as the official ambassadors for the Tokyo Olympics 2020, but unfortunately they were unable to carry out major activities due to the postponement or reduction of the event due to the pandemic. There is something I want you to be aware of about their videos. WGB ended its contract with Avex in June 2019 and signed a global contract with Universal Music. Since then, their MVs owned by Avex other than live footage have been definitely blocked when used as is. Please note that only. In addition to Wagakki Band, there are other bands I would like you to listen to. A female metal band called "LOVEBITES" that inherits the DNA of 80's British metal and classical music, their sound source is mixed and mastered by Mikko Carmilla and Mika Yussila, similar to NIGHTWISH. Please try this song first. LOVEBITES / Set The World On Fire [Live from "Ride For Vengeance Tour 2021"] ruclips.net/video/99zsH6iG_6c/видео.html

I could listen to them all day. The music is so different and amazing and her vocals are some of the best ever.
An epic. Awesome performance.

This is so good!!!
You can’t go wrong with any of the suggestions. Wagakki Band are part of my Unique Trifecta with Pentatonix and Nightwish.

absolutely epical.

My thought exactly about the sound. The koto and shimasen are not very loud instruments but they were right there with the guitar and tyco drums.
There's plenty more of their stuff on RUclips for more reactions.
Wagakki Band at their most epic. welcome to the wagakkiverse.... a very deep labyrinth to navigate
Those triplets came from the Tiako drums.
